Hello world!
Hello everyone! This is my first blog besides the one I sometimes write in on myspace. I’m not really sure what I even plan to write about. I guess I’m hoping to use this as my therapy to get things out. As a lot of people that read this will know, I have 2 kids. Mckaylee is 5 and Russell is 3. Mckaylee is my handful and Russell is starting to inch over to the dark side a little. My sweet little boy is starting to be tempted by naughtiness. I guess I won’t be too hurt by it though…he at least skipped the terrible two’s. We also have a new puppy…Gunner. Gunner is a full blooded English Springer Spaniel and perhaps the most stubborn dog we have owned to date. I really need to make him a doggy obedience training appointment….Then again I chalk some of his bad stubborn nature up to the fact that he is a lot younger then he looks. It’s hard for me to remember how young he actually is because he is already bigger then most of the dogs we have had before. We did have a pet rat…but it didn’t survive long. We got another one and it died before the car engine even cooled down. So we have decided that we are going to spare the rest of the rat population for a while and not get another one. I’m suprised that the kids have not tried to talk me into something new yet.
We recently moved to New Bern, North Carolina and so far we are loving it. This is the first place we have been stationed in my husbands military career that I have actually felt at home in. Its a beautiful area and the people are super friendly and welcoming. It helps that its a military area, although we don’t live on a post. It isn’t over populated, it is not dead either. Its perfect. They have a small mall…smaller then I would want, but it has other stores and everything else you would want is within a reasonable driving distance. This is also the hometown of James Patterson. They are having a luncheon with him at the library in a couple days. I don’t think I will go though. Well..I have blabbed enough for today. Someone remind me tomorrow to write in here again…
