How to Teach Your Baby to Bathe
The learning process starts for a baby long before he or she goes to school. You need to teach your baby several things such as how to eat, how to read, how to talk, how to walk and many more. You will notice that when your baby is three or four years old, he or she will want to do many things himself or herself. This may also include bathing.
Well, teaching your baby to bathe is not as easy as teaching things like brushing or combing hair or eating. Though teaching a baby to bathe needs some patience it can be fun if you teach them the right way. In fact babies love to bathe and you will often find that they don’t want to come out of the tub.
Go through the following instructions to know how you can teach baby to bathe.
1. First you should teach your babies how to get into the tub. Make sure you help your babies with this process so that they don’t slip and get hurt. Fill the tub with water before your baby gets into it. The next day you can ask them to do this job. Don’t underestimate your their ability to learn new things. Babies love to take responsibility and they learn things with more concentration than the adults pay to new things. Your babies will enjoy the beginning of the bathing process.
2. Now teach your babies how to use a loofah. You can also give them a washcloth. Show them how to apply body wash on it and then how to wash their hands, legs, face, body etc. Help them with difficult to reach areas like back, neck etc. Finally teach your babies to rinse the soap thoroughly.
3. Once this is done, you should now teach them how to apply shampoo. Let them wet their hair first. Ask them to apply a little amount of shampoo. Show them how to scratch their head and then how to rinse the shampoo.
Bathing is not a very easy thing to learn. So have patience because your baby will need some time to learn it.
