Madeleine was born in June 2000.  I can’t believe she is about to be EIGHT!  My how time flies.  She is gracefully growing into such a beautiful young lady.  She has such an amazing spirit and love for life.  She is soft hearted and kind spirited.  I see a lot of wonderful attributes in her that will take her far in life.  Maddie has a great sense of humor and personality.  Whether it’s by telling jokes or making cards, she loves to make people smile.  And she knows that she has a way with people.  She has big brown eyes that will melt you in an instant.  You can see straight into her soul when you look into them.  It’s been said many of times that she has an “old soul.”  I suppose it’s true.

Maddie is about to graduate into the third grade.  She is an avid reader and loves spelling.  Math is her least favorite subject and the one area we have to devote a little more time to.  She is a member of the American Girl Club and would love to take gymnastics this summer, as well as guitar lessons.  She’s not athletic at all.  She’d much rather play on the computer, read or take care of her animals (live and stuffed.)  She’s not big into playing with dolls and has outgrown the Barbie craze, but she is all girl.  She loves to sing and dance.  Well, she loves to perform, period.

Maddie is a great big sister.  She adores her little brother, Ethan.  She is also a daddy’s girl through and through.  I can see her being a nurse or a vet in the future.  She loves taking care of others….and has a heart for animals and the elderly.
