Well, this is still pretty much the same. She also loves balloons and her little people animals. Dad brought a stuffed buffalo home from his trip to Buffalo last week and that thing's been attached to her since.

Latest Achievement:
She is pretty much potty trained during the day. Still wearing pull ups at night but that's more my laziness than anything else. blush.gif
She's a wonderful big sister and loves on Lauren all the time.
Finally, she is still perfecting her dance moves and has quite the repretoire of dances that she entertains us with.

Long time no "see".
So, what is the one personality trait in Katherine that you least admire that you can trace back to yourself?
What kind of teenager do you imagine her to be?
What's the biggest bad parenting moment you've had with her? The proudest?
What size shoes/clothes is she wearing now?

BTW, she's so cute I can't stand it!

kit_kats_mom replied: Is Katherine a typical Virgo (picky eater, into neatness, chatty)? Yes. She could be Virgo's poster child. rolling_smile.gif She can't stand to be dirty, never stops talking, likes to tidy the playroom & do dishes etc.

What is her favorite TV show or video? Still Peep. She won't sit still for most TV shows that one keeps her attention though. She is also into Mary Poppins right now.

What nicknames does she have? Stinker, bunny, turkey, ducky, kit-kat, K, goofball....whatever pops into my head really.

What is her favorite book? Go dog Go or Are you my mother. She knows both by heart & "reads" them to us

I know..stupid work, vacation & DH has changed to 4, 12 hour days (M-H 6:30-6:30). we are still fine tuning our schedules to fit that. It's just been hectic

So, what is the one personality trait in Katherine that you least admire that you can trace back to yourself?
Honestly, I don't think she's picked up any of my bad habits yet...at least none that irritate me. Perhaps I should ask DH this question. tongue.gif My biggest fear is that she will grow up with my horrible self esteem and body image so I actually joined a gym recently and we've been eating better. I hope to get to where I can really be comfortable in my own skin again before she really is able to pick up how miserable I am about my physical appearance. Currently the most irritating thing she does is the testing of her limits. It gets on my nerves sometimes but I try to remember that she's just trying to learn how the rules apply to her.

What kind of teenager do you imagine her to be?
I expect she will be a handful. sad.gif She's eager to please and a self starter but she has this side of her that is really pig headed and stubborn. We are a pretty easy going, fleixible family though and as long as we are able to keep the lines of communication open things will be fine.

What's the biggest bad parenting moment you've had with her?
Oh god. Monday night DH had to stay at the office until about midnight. She was in the tub and she knows that pouring water out of the tub means bathtime is over. Usually DH sits in there with her during her bath but Lauren needed to be fed and frankly I couldn't get comfy on the toilet with the boppy so I sat in the room next to the bathroom to nurse L. I started hearing water hitting the floor and I asked what she was doing. She said "pouring water mama". I told her to stop it and shortly therafter, heard the sounds of water pouring out of a bucket and onto the floor again. I was FURIOUS and I went in there and snapped at her. Some nonsense about needing to feed her sister and not being able to be with her all the time and that she KNOWS not to pour water out of the tub. She put her head down and stuck her lip out and said "momma, I just want you to come sit with me momma". Broke my heart and made me feel like a villian. bawling.gif After she was in bed that night I read a post in a blog about how "their hearts are in our hands" and we really need to be careful about what we say because we are their world & harsh words really hurt them. I felt terrible.

The proudest?
This may sound wierd but I am really proud of myself for following through with punishments. For example, last weekend we went to Tallahassee for a wedding. On Saturday she would not take a nap and I Told her "nap or no party". She wanted to go but she was fighting naptime so I tracked down a sitter for her & dropped her off on the way to the wedding. I missed having her at the wedding but dealing with a sleep deprived 2 year old was not what I was wanting either.

What size shoes/clothes is she wearing now?
mostly 2T's (I have to pin the waistbands in the pants most of the time) & shoes 5 1/2
BTW, she's so cute I can't stand it!

kit_kats_mom replied: What is makes her laugh the hardest?
Playing "super baby" with Lauren. DH flies Lauren around and chases K. Both girls crack up. rolling_smile.gif

Does she like being a big sister?
ohhh yeah. For the most part. She loves showing Lauren off to her friends & playing with her. She's still adjusting to not getting as much attention but all in all she seems to be doing really well with the adjustment.

What is her favorite color?
it changes every day.

Does she like to listen to music?
every night. we turn on the tunes & she boogies, She has a knack for memorizing songs too.

Does she watch tv? if so what is her favorite show?
Peep...still Peep that silly chicken rolling_smile.gif

She is SOOOO beautiful Cary!!! thank you wub.gif

Does she like to wear dresses or shorts?
What's her favorite thing to do outside?
Has she learned to swim yet?
Do you have a favorite picture of her?

K is just too precious, I see her breaking a lot of hearts!

kit_kats_mom replied: Does she like to wear dresses or shorts?
she plays hard so usually shorts. Recently, due to potty training, she's been wearing more dresses though.
What's her favorite thing to do outside?
swing at the park or blow bubbles
Has she learned to swim yet?
nope. we aren't real "water people" & we don't go to the beach or pools much. She likes playing in the pool but she doesn't know how to swim yet. I'll probably enroll her in classes when she's older.
Do you have a favorite picture of her? I have tons of favorites. All of them! LOL Go to our webpage at http://www.carywright.com/pics

What makes her laugh more than anything?
What would make her lose her temper?
Does she have a favourite toy?
Does she like being in the car?
What's her favourite type of music to dance to?

xx

MommyToAshley replied: Wow! K is just beautiful! I can't believe how grown up she looks, but she is adorable. You can just see her personality shine through in her pictures. laugh.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: what are you planning for her 3rd birthday?
Probably keep it small. She will have a small party at daycare with the 6 kids there & I'll bake a cake and let her pick dinner. A few balloons maybe but nothing big. I'm sure my mom will come down for it. I think I'll save the next big party until she's in school and has some friends. I've been shopping for gifts already and I think I'll get her a two sided easel and some beads. I'm going to have to control myself because I know that a lot of the coolest toys are for the 3 & up set. She already has more than she can play with now. I am not planning on getting her more than 3 toys...can you remind me of that in August? LOL

is she going to go to preschool?
Nope. The home daycare that she's in is run by a woman who used to teach preschool. They do most of the preschool things already and she is very attached to K. I also posted a link to a website with preschool curriculums and I plan to try and incorporate some of those ideas at home too.

kit_kats_mom replied: She is so pretty Cary I can't believe how gorwn up she is. She looks so stuning in that picture where she is next to the flowers! thank you. I love that picture too. [COLOR=blue]

What makes her laugh more than anything? [COLOR=blue]farts, burps, sister chasing her. All that lady like stuff. rolleyes.gif

What would make her lose her temper? She is a pretty mellow easy going kid unless she hasn't had enough sleep. Then anything can set her off. I have yet to see her lose her temper when she's well-rested.
Does she have a favourite toy? She plays with her little people a lot and bubbles are a big hit. Other than that she seems to prefer art projects over most anything else. Coloring, painting and play-do are tops.
Does she like being in the car? She doesn't mind usually. She's quite the little traveler and she does pretty well on long car rides. She doesn't stop talking but she entertains herself for the most part.

What's her favourite type of music to dance to? Regae, techno or bluegrass. Anything with a fast tempo.
