| Name: | Sophia Cameron | | Birthdate: | September 4, 2002 | | Parents: | Amy and Shawn | Favorite Toy/Activity: Sophia loves to play with balls, though she can't quite get the hang of catching them yet :) She also loves reading books, and will even read them to you if you ask her to... in a very loud and unintelligable - lol!
Latest Achievement: Sophia is working on potty training! She will ask to go sit on the potty, and about 60% of the time she actually has to go - hee hee.
Other Information: Before she was born, I could never have dreamed I would feel the way I do about Sophia. The love is indescribable - pure, everlasting and deep. She is such a joy, and I am so lucky she chose me to be her Mama.

what doesnt she like to eat?
does she like to go on outings?
does she enjoy the summer?
amynicole21 replied: Aww! Thanks
Her favorite show is either Dora or Bear in the Big Blue House. She also loves the Wiggles
She loves to pick her shoes, but usually doesn't pay any attention to her clothing.
amynicole21 replied: Sophia LOVES to swim. In fact, she has no fear of the water, which worries me We have a little pool set up in the back yard, and she is obsessed with it. I think I'll sign her up for lessons soon.
She really gets along with other kids in her daycare. She's the oldest in there, and sort of "mothers" the other kids. She loves to help out by pushing babies in the swing or retrieving blankies
Her favorite animal has to be a monkey - we call her monkey too, which is probably why she likes them so much
amynicole21 replied: She loves pizza, cheerios, crackers of any kind, cheese, fruit and chips (even with hot salsa )
She doesn't like veggies, which is becoming a problem. I can't get her to eat any of them.
She does ok on outings as long as she doesn't have to be in the car for very long. She's easy to handle for the first 45 minutes at a mall or something, then after that it gets a little dicey. She loves to go to amusement parks, though.
She doesn't seem to mind the heat, but she's a sweat-er like her Mama I think that she likes that it is still light outside when we get home at night. We can go outside and play sometimes before dinner
Zoe'sMommaCamie replied: Thanks for sharing Amy! Sophia is so beauitful
A&A'smommy replied: Are you excited about her potty training? What is your favorite thing to do with her? Does she like to color? Has she marked anything for you yet?
MommyToAshley replied: I have to say, Sophia is just too pretty! And, so photogenic too.
Does she have a best friend or favorite person at daycare? Does she like to sing songs? If so, does she have a favorite? What's her favorite book to read to you.
amynicole21 replied:
She's training very slowly, which is fine with me. It's almost easier with her in diapers, she wants to use the potty at the most inconvenient times
I love to snuggle with Sophia. She's the best snuggler in all the world
She loves to color - expecially with pens, which I don't let her use She's marked up our kitchen table and one of the arms of our sofa... thank goodness for the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser!
amynicole21 replied: Thanks
She loves a little girl named Colby at daycare who looks almost EXACTLY like her. It's uncanny
We just bought a Laurie Berkner CD for her - Laurie Berkner sings in between shows on Noggin. We have to play this CD to and from daycare EVERY day She loves to sing with it, especially the "We are the dinosaurs" song Her favorite song, for reasons I can't figure out, is "Do You Know the Muffin Man?"
She likes to read the Spotty Frog Counting Book. She points to all of the creatures in the book and "counts" them. She doesn't really get the concept of counting, she just points to everything and says numbers, not necessarily in order
Zoe'sMommaCamie replied: Does she like bath time? Does she play with bath toys? If so, does she have a favorite?
amynicole21 replied: She does like bath time, especially when there are bubbles - but we don't do that very often
Her favorite bath toys are the foam letters and numbers. She never plays with all of the other hundred or so toys we bought for her in the tub
MommyToAshley replied: Does she like to play dress-up? Does she like to play with dolls? What is the sweetest thing she did this past week? What is the silliest thing she did this past week?
amynicole21 replied: She likes to put on pretty outfits and show them off, but we haven't really played much dress up yet
She LOVES baby dolls. In fact, today she tried to smuggle one out of daycare and threw a fit when I took it from her and gave it back to the teacher
One of the sweet things she did this week just melted my heart. I was holding her, looking at her and smoothing her hair back and she gazed up at me and gently touched my face and said "Mommy." She doesn't say "I love you" really, but at that moment I knew that's what she was saying.
Just tonight after her bath she ran into the office and turned on the radio to "boogie" naked! She kept turning the knob to find a channel, and would settle on gospel or something and start dancing like crazy
ediep replied: what a character!!! She is toooooo cute!
Where do you buy most of her clothes? What is her favorite toy right now? Is she into puzzles? Any ideas for her birthday yet? Does she have any cousins? What does her room look like? What size diapers does she wear?
kimberley replied: she is so adorable!
what is the biggest mess she has made? what is the most embarassing thing she has done? what word(s) does she pronounce the funniest? does she have any nicknames?
MommyToAshley replied: OMG...she is just the cutest and sweetest gal!
paradisemommy replied: should we tell everyone that sophia and taven are betrothed??
sophia is such a doll!
what's her favorite wiggle song? what's the funniest thing she's said? how does she get along with your kitty? do you have any other pets? did she wean or are you still bf? have you guys gone on any long trips with her? if yes, how did she do?
amynicole21 replied: I love to shop at Old Navy for her clothes. When she was smaller, I bought a lot of her stuff at babystyle.com, but it is soooo expensive
Her favorite toy is probably her little tricycle. She is just now able to reach the pedals, but hasn't figured out how to make them go or to steer very well yet.
She likes puzzles, but isn't very good at putting them together yet. I think that the puzzles we have may be a bit too hard - I sometimes have to think about how to do them!!
I don't think we'll do anything huge for her bday this year. My dad and step-mother will be in town, so maybe just a family get together. I haven't put too much thought into it just yet
She has one cousin named Malik who is 6. He is really a sweetheart, and as long as his buddies aren't around, he is so sweet with Sophia.
Her room is pale yellow on top and beige on bottom, with a wallpaper border in the middle which has little sheep on it. She really only uses her room to play in and store her clothes, though
She's still in a size 3 diaper... has been for about a year now! I wonder if we'll ever make it to a size 4?
amynicole21 replied: Thanks
For some reason, every time she eats yogurt she has to put both hands in it and smear them together. I guess she likes that it's cold and slimy or something It usually takes a minimum of 6 paper towels to clean her up after a yogurt binge.
I guess the most embarassing thing for me is when she starts freaking out needing to nurse at really inopportune times She pulls at my shirt and says "NURSE!" over and over. I get some crazy looks from people
DH and I are really working on getting her to say "fork" correctly. You might imagine how it comes out now
We call her monkey, tootie and mama (with lots of variation on those!) Poor baby gets called monkey-butt, tootie-butt, tootie-mama, etc. quite a bit.
amynicole21 replied: Yes, it's official - they are definitely going to get married
Favorite Wiggle song... hmmm... she is obsessed with Wiggly Safari right now, but I don't know if she has a favorite song. I'd have to say all of them!
I guess I must check her diaper for poopies a lot (she's a gassy girl ) because she'll often come up to DH or me and pull our waistband back and say "Mommy poopy!" Cracks me up, but I'm not so sure how I'd react if we were in public
She LOVES the kitties, but the kitties usually run from her unless she's sleeping. During naps, one of our kitties likes to curl up next to her
She has 2 cats and a crazy dog named Buddha.
We are still bfing, and I don't see an end in sight.
We have gone up to Pennsylvania twice to visit my family. She did ok, but was a little difficult on the plane ride until she fell asleep
