***WARNING*** HIGH FORCE MOTHERLY BRAGS INSIDE!

Boys r us wrote: Tanner brought home his scores on his Standardized tests yesterday...I'm so proud of my baby!!!!! He's wrapping up the third grade and his math score was a 6.9 ..well you're like me..I didn't know if it was good or bad, so I read the explanation of this particular score underneath and this is what it said:

GE score- 6.9
Grade equivalent scores range from 2.0 - 12.9
A GE score shows how your child's test performance compares with that of other students nationally. Based on the norms, Tanner's math skills are at a level equal to that of a typical 6th grader in their 9th month of the school year.

I almost fell over dead!!! Tanner is in the 3rd grade and he's basically doing 7th grade math!??! I knew he was very gifted in math..but WHOA!

I also received his reading score for the same test and it was well above average, but not quite as impressive at the math, it was a GE score of 5.6 so basically he's reading on an experienced 5th grade level. He hates reading, I wish I could get him more interested in it.



I will be so happy next year b/c he will be able to change classes and attend some of the more advanced classes, where as rigt now, he hates school...b/c he's learning the same things that ALL of the kids are learning and he's just not challeneged enough.

Anyhow, I just had to brag!!! I know I don't say a whole lot about Tanner on this board, I guess b/c most everyone has babies/toddlers..but I had to share this!!

I know the feeling of being changled, you do tend to hate school when its boring since you already know what they are teaching, I hope he gets to like it next year and be changled.
