*Warning* Gross Pictures of Cam...(poop) - but they serve a purpose, You'llSWIM....
CAMSMOM1 wrote: I'll explain why I posted this in a second! Just know I warned you, they are gross!
This is what I found Monday morning. His poop painting on his walls! *edited: Images removed.
And this is what he did today! He squirted an entire bottle of Diaper Cream everywhere, and decided to eat it!
CAMSMOM1 replied: Ok, here's the explaination! You've probably read in my past posts, that Cam has experimented with his diaper before. But never like this. Monday morning I went to get him up, and this is what I found!!!
He decided to make a painting of poop on his walls, and he thought it was hilarious! Let's just say, Mama wasn't happy.
It took me 2 HOURS to get that cleaned off the walls. And as you can see, there USED to be a nice border on his walls, but he decided to rip that off a long time ago.
And the last picture was taken today. I was on the phone with Monica, and I noticed that it was really quiet for a couple of minuetes. So I went to investigate, and saw Cam in his room, covered in Destin Diaper Cream. It was everywhere, a brand new bottle...gone...and all over his bedroom door, in his hair...he was even EATING it!
I"m sure you guys will get a kick out of these pictures, if it didn't make you throw up. Hey...I warned you it was gross!
BUT....what do I do with this crazy kid???? How can I stop him from digging in his diaper? He did it again today, but I caught him in time before he made a mess. Please help, I'm going to go crazy, and be sick.
Crystalina replied: First of all I would definately show those to his girlfriends when he grows up. He is just too cute. But then again I'm not the one with the bucket scrubbing the walls either.
Maybe he's just a little Picasso? Opps, make that Poopcasso!!
Wait, I'm laughing too hard. I'll have to get back with you.
CAMSMOM1 replied:
LMBO!!!! You're always cracking me girl! But seriously, this kid is going to drive me to the looney bin! He thinks it's the funniest thing he ever did, he cracked up about it. But after I found him like that, he got some MAJOR chewing out. The poor kid couldn't stop crying for an hour. I thought I got my point across, how mad I was, and that he should never do that again. But he did it AGAIN today!!
Maybe he just likes to express himself through art???
amymom replied: Oh My! No advice here, my kids never did this. WOW!
Poopcasso.... so funny
gr33n3y3z replied: Umm I did it so I was told lol
My Mom used to put me in a one piece sleeper and pin it shut so I couldnt do it any more lol
b&bsmom replied: I have a friend whose son always takes his diaper off at night. She put him in a onesi but put it on backward so he couldn't unbutton it. I don't know if that would help you or not because he is not taking it off but digging in it. You might try the rubber training pants they use for potty training to. Sorry I am not much help.
I know you were not laughing then but it is kinda funny. Hope it doesn't happen again for you. Good luck with your very expressive little boy
BAC'sMom replied: Sorry never had that problem
Bee_Kay replied: OMG Ann!! That is so funny! I have no advice.... I didn't have the "pleasure" of experiencing anything like that with Ashley and Tyler! (thank god!!!)
My mom and dad both swear I did that one time when I was little..... and they also tell me that was the one and only time I ever got spanked LOL!! never did it again after that I guess
MyLuvBugs replied: Maybe he's trying to tell you that he's ready to poop in the potty like a big boy?? Have you started potty training yet? That might help a little.
coasterqueen replied: My mother told me I did the same as well and she would put a onesie on me too. Not sure she pinned it though.
Crystalina replied: Just be glad he isn't eating it Ann. My little sis and brother are only a year apart and I rememer when they were babies they would have a mess like that 3x worse and since their cribs were close to each other they used to share with each other, if you know what I mean. They are in their early 20's now and I tell them that story and they swear I'm full of it.
Full of it... I kill myself.
Mom2BNTN replied: Oh my goodness!! I can't believe Cam did that! Dylan may do the same thing one day who knows? I hope you figure out a way to stop him from doing it again.
~~*Missi*~~ replied: OMG OMG OMG i don't even know what to say....except YUCK and WOW and thank god sabrina has never done that with her poop......WOW
Edward's Mommy replied: Oh Annie, I don't envy you!
C&K*s Mommie replied: feces and phases
This is the same link that you read and replied to over in the Parenting 1-3yr olds forum. Ironic, that you said in that post that he takes his diaper off, smeared it in his hair, but did not like being dirty. And you also said, Well, it may be a phase, but IT's BAAACCCCKKKK!
So sorry that you are having troubles with this, yet again. I hope this time it is a phase that reared its ugly head for the last time, and you can walk into a clean room every morn from now on.
ashtonsmama replied: OK-first off...
THAT IS NASTY, CAM! I'd probably run away... No, that is seriously gross. I wonder why he's so into it?!? Maybe talk to your doc, I had an acquaintence a while back (like a friend of a friend), whose daughter had some mental health issues and did that same thing all the time...I highly doubt (like 99.9%) that that's an issue with a 2 year old, I'm sure he's just experimenting...but that's yucky! And also not great health wise, if he accidently ate it or something...
 Good luck Ann!
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Replace Sabrina with Logan and this is my response to a t. Sorry you have such a little "stinker" on your hands.
CAMSMOM1 replied:
You're right Nicole, it's Back! The last time he did this, he never put it on the walls, but it was just as messy. He hasn't done it for awhile, so I thought he was over that stage. I have no idea why he started it again. I think a lot of it has to do with him not liking, having a dirty diaper. He hates having poop in his diaper, so he tries to "take care of it himself" and get rid of it. But at the same time, he thinks it's Funny everytime he does it. Even though looking at the pictures now, cracks me up, I was pretty POed when it happened. I was SOOOOOO mad at him, the poor guy couldn't stop crying for an hour. I thought I got my point across. But then when you put that link up, and I read the info you gave me (which I quoted above) it makes sense. I guess I'm not suppossed to overact like that, but it's hard not to. kwim? If I don't do anything, wouldn't he think he was getting away with it??
But I guess even though the attention I"m giving him is negative, it's still attention. Maybe it's because he's going through a transition period with his new daycare? That might be it too.
Erika said, that he may be showing me he's ready to be potty trained. I never thought of that. That's a good point, and maybe he is. I have no idea how to potty train, but I think I should give it a try. It sure would beat having to wake up to this in the mornings.
CAMSMOM1 replied: And then he's also getting into the diaper cream, and eating that! He's done that many times before. I try to always remember to put it up, out of his reach, but this guy is sneaky. I have no idea why he likes to eat that stuff, and make a mess with it. Again, he thinks it's funny! He likes to spread it around, like he's finger painting with it.
And then last night he woke up crying, and wanting me to hold him. I got 3 hrs of sleep last night. He didn't have a fever, just a runny/stuff nose. Maybe he misses me, and this is his way of getting my attention, since he started daycare??
jem0622 replied: Show his girlfriends that when he's older and see what he thinks.
Gross gross gross!
BTW...my Livvy loves to strip out of the diaper too. You know what solves that? DUCT TAPE. You and me need to go duct tape shopping!
CAMSMOM1 replied:
I've seriously thought of that. It just might work!
I know some people gave suggestions with Onesies...but I don't think they make it in his size, he wears a 4T. I've tried putting his clothes on backwards, but he knows how to get out of that too. I'll have to look around and see if there are any onesies, or clothes that button up, that I can find in his size.
And I think I'm going to start potty training him now. It's worth a shot.
C&K*s Mommie replied: Just remember that he may not grasp the concept of PT'ing for awhile. But you may have to begin teaching him how to clean himself between pull-up changes. It will take some time, but as long as you and he are patient (I am sure you are) you will have a success on your hands, with Cameron being trained.
CAMSMOM1 replied:
That's funny you mentioned that. This morning, when I was changing his diaper, he wanted to wipe his own bottom. So I let him, and he was proud of himself for doing that. I think he is trying to tell me he's ready. I know the teachers at his daycare, will help PT him. So I think with that help, I can be able to get started.
Thanks for all the help.
MyLuvBugs replied: The book that we bought and are using is "Potty Training for Dummies". It's an easy read, is funny, and makes a ton of sense with some GREAT ideas. I hope that's what he's needing. Good luck sweetie!! ~~~~~~I'm sending you no more poopy morning vibes~~~~~~~
MyLuvBugs replied: ITA!!! It will take some time. My MIL said "We had trisha potty trained in two days." Well that's fabulous, some kids will get it on the first try, but We've been trying with Lorelei for about 3 weeks now....and she tells us when she's pee'd or pooped in her pants, but doesn't like to sit on her potty. Just keep at it and don't get frustrated. He'll catch on.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Desitin information
Here is some info on the ingestion of Desitin-not much information provided by the manufacturer but they do say to seek medical attention if ingested.
As far as the other goes I don't know Tay NEVER did anything like that Thank God!
CAMSMOM1 replied:
THanks Abbie. I was worried about that. Now he has green poop, and he didn't sleep last night. I'm wondering if it's from the Desitin? Now that I read that link, I'm kinda scared. I'm not sure how much he ate of it, but most of it got on the door and his clothes. But I do know he ate some, cause I saw it around his mouth. What should I do? (btw, he did that yesterday morning)
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I would take him to the doctor or the ER! Alot of that stuff contains Zinc and is wax based and I would be afraid that he could get really sick!
ilovemybaby replied: Hmmm my only suggestion is to duct tape his diaper and then put him in a onesie (the things with legs and feet). If he doesn't know how to undo those too?
Sorry to hear about that! Abby squashed some of her poopy into the carpet with a clothing peg once. She also had it all over her clothes, hands (in her nails too) and feet. It was fairly easy to get out though. And she went straight into the bath and had a good scrub especially under the nails.
CantWait replied: Indeed you did warn us. That is way gross. My mom said I use to take my poppy diapers off and hide them. I'll have to ask her how she stopped that. Hope you figure it out soon.
How is he feeling after eating that stuff?
