? for those with 2+ kids - gift giving
amynicole21 wrote: When you give gifts to Grandmas, cousins or aunts, etc., do you give a present from each kid? Or do you give just one gift from all of the kids? People buy both kids individual gifts, so it would make sense to give them gifts from each individual child, but we never do that. What is the etiquette here?
My3LilMonkeys replied: We usually buy 1 gift for them from the family, and something small from the girls together. MIL got something from each of the girls this year, but they were both inexpensive things that we knew she'd love.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Well generally the kids get cheaper stuff... and so we give a bigger gift from all of us. When they get old enough to want to pick a gift on their own, then we'll see
coasterqueen replied: We have just always kept it the same, one gift that is from all of us.
kimberley replied: we just buy one gift from everyone.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: We usually give one gift from all the kids. But this year, we found something for my dad that is a special bond between him and Spencer, a Nascar coffee mug, so the girls are just going to get him a small box of chocolates.
ZandersMama replied: We are doing one gift from the kids and one from me for the grandparents, the aunts are just one from all of us.
PrairieMom replied: I usually have the kids make something for them. This year they each made ornaments for the grandparents.
luvmykids replied: It depends on the year, if I find lots of stuff for my mom then each of the kids will give her one, if I only find one or two great things then it's from all of us.
Nina J replied: One gift from all of us
MomToJade&Jordan replied: This year I gave my parents a gift from me and a gift for the girls. I just happened to find one of My Mom's favorite movies on sale and bought it and basically decided that is how I would do it. My brothers got one gift from me and a gift from the girls as well.
paradisemommy replied: we do one gift from the kids..
redplaydoh replied: We only buy Christmas for the kids... the only presents adults get are something handmade from the kids. It's an agreement all the way around which makes it nice.
holley79 replied: We do one gift for each family from the family.
sparkys2boys replied: Just one gift from the whole family here also.
BAC'sMom replied: I am 1 of 5 kids so when we were young my Mom had us kids draw names. Then we also got presents from our parents. After we got to be adults we decided to just buy presents for nieces and nephews and not each other. So we do that until nieces and nephews turn into adults and now they by for their younger cousins. So as for this year I bought for my nephew who is 12, my kids, my Mom, FIL and Step Father. Richard and I decided long ago to not give gifts to each other we would much rather give to our children. I usually make lots of goodies to give to my older nephews, niece and my siblings. It work for us and no one complains.
MyLuvBugs replied: one gift from all of the kids is what we do. Saves SOOOO much money.
