"Sparkling Wiggles" video - anyone seen it?

Jackie012007 wrote: I was wondering if anyone had seen the video of the little girl with a speech problem being goaded by her parents to say things about "Sparkling wiggles"... it sounds MUCH different. I don't want to post the link to the video because it is very offensive but I was wondering if anyone had seen t - I was sent a link in myspace.

I was wondering how you guys felt about the parents who shot the video - there has been a lot of controversy online over the video, if it was just harmless fun or blatent racism.

stella6979 replied: I haven't seen the video, but I can say that I think parents who coerse their kids into saying inappropriate things because they think it's cute are obviously not "grown-up" enough to be parents.

Crystalina replied:
ditto!
I haven't seen the video or heard of it either.

redchief replied: I've seen it. There's no question in my mind that the parents knew exactly what they were getting their daughter to say, nor is there any way you can mistake their intentions. The little girl is very cute. Her parents are very ugly, racist scumbags. The only positive thing I can see is that this video could be used to teach people about how racism grows into innocent children by the actions of their parents.

Crystalina replied: OMG!!!!!!!!

I just saw it on YouTube! WTH is wrong with people? That is soooo wrong. That poor child doesn't even know that her parents are morons!! ohmy.gif

PrairieMom replied: I saw it the other day. Someone here posted a link to a video of a baby in one of those bumbo chairs, and I watched that, then the sparkeling wiggles video was just a few under that.
I have been dying to hear what y-all have to say about it, but didn't want to post a link here either.

I was MORTIFIED!!! I have never understood why there is still racism in the world, but now I know. Its because if parents like THIS! Its like they have taken a giant revolutionary step backwards. I think that its so sad that they would use their daughter for cheap entertainment like that. Even if it is a little amusing, keep it to your self, and help the poor kid with her pronunciation. growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif

Jackie012007 replied: I agree - I was horrified! And there are people out there who are saying "it's just words, get over it" - you can clearly tell that these are not members of the racial group these "just words" are directed at. And even worse, saying "get a job, sparkling wiggles" - just disgusting!

My mom told me I had a bad lisp when i was young, and I used to say fire F*&% instead of fire truck, F*&^%ies instead of fuzzys, etc... she thought it was kind of funny but NEVER encouraged it... and that isn't nearly as bad as this!

I can't help but think of how mortified that little girl will be in a few years when she sees herself all over the internet and realize what a controversy her video made - and it isn't even her fault!

PrairieMom replied:
YOu are forgetting that that beautiful innocent little girl will have been raised by those parents that whole time, and will probably be just as racist as they are by then .She will probably think its funny too. dry.gif

Nina J replied: I havn't seen it. I don't think I want to, either. Things like that make me angry growl.gif

Crystalina replied: People that are as nasty and disgusting as that get paid back one way or another. Karma's a &%$^!

mckayleesmom replied: Does anyone have the link so I can see what it is?

PrairieMom replied:
I tried to find it, but youtube has removed it due to TOS violations. I am actually surprised. Its a pretty decent thing for them to do.
Basically it was a little girl sitting at a dinner table with a man and a woman, but you can't see them. She is talking about a birthday party and her father asks her who is going to be there. she says Sparkling wiggles, but it sounds like she is saying F*%&#&% the the N word. Then the parents laugh. Then they coach her to say Get a job sparkling wiggles, so she repeats it while they laugh at her. It goes on for about 2 minutes. Basically it is extremely distasteful, and really by not seeing it, you aren't missing a thing.

mckayleesmom replied:
Yikes!!

PrairieMom replied:
yeah. dry.gif it was awesome. dry.gif

Crystalina replied: It also has the mother telling her daughter to say, "Get a job Sparking Wiggles". When the little girl says it it comes out, "Get a job F*(&^%$ N&^%$#@." And the worthless father is holding a phone up so I'm sure some idiot on the other end could get a good laugh. mad.gif

I think the person who put it up is the person who took it down. Apparently she was getting all sorts of threats from people. She kept saying it was only a video she had posted and it was not her video. I'm sorry but I would not put something like that on my channel. dry.gif
