My2Beauties replied: That was my thoughts too, I was like what a shady person to leave your kids with you know. I mean come on now. The mother had a "fever" but could still keep hber 8 month old...this makes no sense to me. A fever that makes you leave your child with someone for a week Why one child, why not both??

I've had my MIL take Andrew when I was sick, but leave Allie with me because I was nursing, and Allie just doesn't generally do well away from me. So I can see why she would leave him with someone and not her 8 month old, but a week is a pretty long time. I wonder if she was really sick or just wanted a break.

I wondered too why anyone would leave her son with that lady knowing that she'd had her own kids taken away because of drugs - the article said they'd been friends since they were children, but come on!

My thing is....if you were well enough to go to the store and get diapers to take over to the womans house.....she was probably well enough to take him home with her...kwim?

The only way I would let someone non family related take my child like that would be if I was so sick I couldn't function at all. kwim?

It said they were friends from the age of 8, so it sounds fishy to me that she wouldn't know. Regardless, that poor baby didn't deserve the treatment he got and I hope those people get what they have coming and more

But it didn't say when those kids were taken.....It might be possible that it happened when they were younger and the friend didn't even remember because she was young.....Plus people don't usually advertise that info...kwim?
