4 Year Old Birthday Party.....

MommyToAshley wrote: Edie has forced me to start thinking about birthday parties again... it's all your fault Edie. (Ashley's birthday isn't until September)

Ashley wants to have her party at Chuck E Cheese, but I kind of feel guilty that I should throw her a special party with a girly girl theme. But, I think we will have it at Chuck E Cheese because that's what she wants. We go there often so it just doesn't seem special, but I guess it does to her and that's what matters, right?

Has anyone had their party at Chuck E Cheese? How was it?

Kaitlin'smom replied: dont feel bad Kait's b-day is not till December and she is already talking about it and where she wants to have it wacko.gif

ediep replied: besides our family weekend away I am going to have a birthday party for Jason on his birthday weekend, spetember 23. He wants to have it at the same place he had it last year....an indoor playground that is nearby. Its a nice place. they are closed on the weekend, so the party is private. They get pizza and balloons for the kids. THe place is very clean and it has lots of climbing and jumping things, ball pit, slides, .....but.... Is it wierd to have it the same place as last year?

kimberley replied: we did it one year for James and it is different because his friends were there and Chuck E Cheese comes to your table and sings happy birthday and they really go all out to make the birthday kid feel special. i brought a bottle of tylenol but could have used ear plugs too lol. there will be time enough for girly parties wink.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Thanks Kimberley, I suppose it would be different if you are the birthday child and showered with attention. smile.gif

Edie, I don't think it would be weird to have it at the same place again. It just means that he loved it. thumb.gif Plus, he gets to ride on Thomas! laugh.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: I did not answer one of your questions, I have been to a party there. I dunno which location you go to but I was un-impressed could have been the day but it was way crowed and to be honest not fun.

How about Magic Castle, or Stars does birthday parties, or Pump it up...just some ideas

boyohboyohboy replied: wub.gif we had our son's party there when he was three, but i thought that their prizes were crazy, so what we did was go early, and get a table, about 10am and brought our own cake, and bought their pizza for everyone. and drinks, and got each kid who went 10 coins, and then had the party and the kids then went and played games..but it was so much cheaper then their party prizes!
and the other people there have the chucky cheese mouse so all the kids in the whole place were over talking to him, and stuff, so it wasnt like the other kids had a better party.

my son wants to go again, but I really am like you, I want to do something more special this yr.

my girlfriend takes her dgt, to a gym called my gym thats just for kids, and the girls love to do tumbling.

Ashlynn's Mommy replied: My daughter went to a party there. It was really cute. All of the kids had a really time. wavey.gif

MommyToAshley replied:
I've mentioned some of those to her but she has her heart set on Chuck E Cheese. The pump-it-up party sounds really neat... I was hoping she would do it there. But, it's her party, I will let her choose.

We are going to have it during the weekday afternoon (opposite her school day) since most of her friends are in her class ... I don't think I would want to do it on the weekend. I am sure they are packed.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: A weekday afternoon would be the best time to go there for a party Dee Dee. I've been to a party at CEC on a Sat and it was a madhouse.

Jade's birthday is in August. LOL! Now I guess I better start thinking about what I'm going to do. Yikes.

moped replied: I have been there, but not in a long time

I tried to get the pet store to come and show off animals for an hour but they were all booked......

aspenblue1 replied: I have not been there in years but I know the kids had fun when I went. Pump it up is a blast! Isabella loved the party she went to there.

Maddie&EthansMom replied:

My kids have never had a birthday party there, but they LOVE to go to them. thumb.gif The parents don't care for it, but the kids don't mind how crowded it is, ya know? They still have a blast. wink.gif I'd definitely do a weekday, though.

Good luck and have fun!! thumb.gif

TheOaf66 replied: we did, it was pretty good depending on what day you go, you can't bring in your own food which is kind of a bummer but the staff was helpful and nice, it was a pretty good deal, they got lots of tokens for games and such.

Jamison'smama replied: What if she had a couple of friends go to Chuck E's with her one afternoon to celebrate her day and have a small girly girl party at home?

coasterqueen replied: Ahh, she has forever to have girly parties. If she wants CEC, I'd go with it.

Course I want Kylie to have a pig roast/luau for her party and she wants Tinkerbell. rolleyes.gif Dh is trying to figure out how to incorporate TB into a luau. rolling_smile.gif

booey2 replied: I have never hosted a party at CEC but would probably try it this coming fall for Thomas if he wants one. We have gone to a party there and the kids loved it.

Karen - as for your luau/tinker bell party, why don't you let the adults be at a luau and the little ones be fairys at the luau spreading pixie dust everywhere for everyone to have a good time.
