A&A'smommy replied: rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif Enjoy I think everyone should have one of those anyway tongue.gif

Sam & Abby's Mom replied: That's gonna be soooooooooooooo cool ! redbounce.gif

Calimama replied: Enjoy! thumb.gif

mummy2girls replied: i thopught you had to wait 5 weeks?

Insanemomof3 replied: Girl, you crack me up. I hope you enjoy it!!! thumb.gif hug.gif

Our Lil' Family replied:
I think she's doing this one on her own, with her friend.

Have fun girl, those are SO COOL. I wish I could have had one with Thomas. I hope you get to find out what it is!!!

Danalana replied: I have to wait 5 weeks for my OB. I had considered going to this guy when I was maybe 16 weeks and trying to find out the gender, anyway, but I found out that he does 4D ultrasounds for the same price as the regular ones! He will do it as many times as you want for the same price UNTIL you find out the sex. Well, with 4D you can tell sooner. I'll be ok if we can't tell, but I have always wanted to have a 4D ultrasound someday...SO, YIPPPPEEEEEEEE! I will post a picture as soon as I can afterwards biggrin.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: so is the guy credited? and approved? be careful. if he is both and more have fun I never had one of those

Danalana replied: Oh yeah...my friend's OB actually recommended him. She said he is a certified sonographer and has been doing it for years. He has his own equipment and now just does it part time. She has only known him to miss the gender a couple of times, and he has done HUNDREDS. Don't worry, I wouldn't just go to some quack. I had heard of him for a while, but I didn't seriously consider it until an OB recommended him smile.gif It's ok, girls!

Mommy2Isabella replied: I had one with Isabella, they are really neat! Though I was a little grossed out at first thinking, OMGOSH thats my uterus. It was a really awesome bonding experience for Sal and I to be able to see our baby smile.gif

Hope your u/s goes great and that you can figure out the sex!!!

indywndy_04 replied: Let me just add a caution....3D ultrasounds are very cool...(4D just means it will be animated by motion)...anyway....what I want to caution you about is that it can look very scarey since the baby is not fully developed. Of course the baby will look very small and skinny but it will look like an alien for sure! Just dont freak out about that and keep in mind that he/she is still growing of course. Most of the time they do not even do 3D/4D ultrasounds this early because of that reason. I didnt have one done until I was 30 weeks because my doctor sides on the side of caution to not freak out the mom that she has an alien looking baby inside of her belly....hee hee.

Not to burst any bubbles for sure, but I just wanted to point that out. smile.gif

PS - I am going to be sending you out a little package. smile.gif

Danalana replied: Awww, thanks Wendy smile.gif
And I know it won't look like a full-term baby. I have looked at a lot of photos, and they are definitely very skeletal. I'm prepared for that.

moped replied:
Right - I had mine at like 30 weeks and he looked great, but I would leary at this stage for sure!

Mommy2Isabella replied: I had mine at like 28 with Bella, I think !!! I didn't even think about how the baby would look at this stage!

* Thats why i don't have the growing baby ticker, it kind of grosses me out * ... they do look rather alienish at the early stages!!

When does the tail go away?

Danalana replied: I think the tail goes away at 10 weeks, when it is officially considered a fetus.

Mommy2BAK replied: Oh awesome!!! I really want to have one of those, but I'm trying to just be patient and wait to see the finished product in the end. I always think those are pretty freaky looking but I'm sure if it was my OWN baby I would think it was cute. I really hope you can find out the gender, that would be awesome! Good luck and have fun!

Danalana replied: I think they look pretty freaky too, actually. I just think it will be neat to get such a great look at how baby is moving, etc...

DillsMommy replied: I had my first US at 14 weeks (we found out the gender then too!) Most of it was done in the normal black and white US, but she did do some of it in 3D. They are kinda creepy. He looked like a little ghecko.Lol.
How exciting, I hope you can find out what you are having! wub.gif baby.gif

Danalana replied: Thanks, Mandy, me too! I really feel like it's a girl wub.gif

MotherForever2043 replied: I'm so excited for you! I never had the chance to get a 4D u/s. I hope you enjoy it smile.gif

Danalana replied: Oh, I'm gonna enjoy it smile.gif Thanks ladies!

HuskerMom replied: How exciting! I hope you can tell the gender! I wish I could've gotten a 4D u/s with Keith and with this baby. They are so neat!

lovemy2 replied: That's great Dana - as long as its a "real" person doing the ultrasound - I hope you can find out what it is - we tried many times to get a 3D pic of Dylan but he would never cooperate....never could get a good pic of him - he would always move....

Danalana replied: They did a quick abdominal u/s to get a heartbeat when i was 10 1/2 weeks, and that little booger was moving all over the place! I don't know what our chances of getting a good shot are, but at least I'll get to see my sweet little one (unfortunately, my sweet little one will look like an alien, but that's ok)!

Danalana replied: Well, today's the day biggrin.gif
The u/s is at noon, and then I have to go straight to work. I will update sometime tonight, in-between making a pie for homecoming at church tomorrow wacko.gif

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Dana, here's a copy of mine, I think I was between 24 and 28 weeks. It was a ton of fun.

A&A'smommy replied: BTW I found at yesterday if you still go to my doctor they do 4D ultrasound's, $135 for everything including pictures and a dvd of baby for a while. wink.gif

Danalana replied: Thanks, Jess!
I went, but the guy doesn't actually have the 3D ultrasound machine yet. It went great...placenta was high and looked good, and plenty of amniotic fluid. baby was sucking its thumb and kicking. We couldn't get a look at the gender parts, so I will go again in 2 weeks. Heartrate was 147, which is great. I got to see the spine, the toes, and the blood pumping through the chambers of the heart. It was exhilirating! I have a picture and I will scan it and post it tomorrow. We don't have a scanner, and I didn't get off til 9 tonight. I have to go to my in-law's to scan it, so i will do it tomorrow afternoon. I also got a video, which i watched about 3 times while I was at work biggrin.gif

Sam & Abby's Mom replied: That is soooooooooooooooo awesome, girl ! Glad it went well. redbounce.gif

Calimama replied: Awesome, glad the baby is doing well. thumb.gif

Mommy2Isabella replied: What are you thanking me for? LOL

Glad everything was good with the baby smile.gif I will send you pink vibes!!

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Hurry up and post those pics!

mummy2girls replied:
