7&10 PM Update..... - on Nolan

Nolan woke up about 7:30 and wanted to know what my Dad was doing at the hospital and where a bear that the nurses had given him came from. They are taking that as a good sign as he had already seen my dad and the kids and acknowledged them but my mom said it was in a way that was like he could not place them, He had also already held the teddy bear. When he woke up at 7:30 he was happy to see my dad and kids and was impressed that the bear was holding a soccer ball. My mom said he said OH I like soccer! I need to sleep now I am tired...and went back to sleep but it was an improvement in his recognition. I just talked to her now and he is asleep (his IV was beeping so our convo was cut short) She sounds completely drained. They are treating him for the Rocky Mountian Spotted Fever but they are waiting for several sets of cultures to rule out everything else-those will not be in for 24-72 hours....the doctors from the CDC will be back tomorrow to examine Nolan again and look at the lab reports from the first set of cultures. Please keep praying You all have been such a tremendous blessing and I am humbled by the prayers that have been lifted so willingly for a child that you do not know but that is so close to my heart! THANK YOU!!!!!! I will update again in the morning-I am going to try for some sleep!
