A message from the Moderators - Please read

We are all loving parents or parents-to-be here who love our kids and look to each other for support, encouragement and advice. Please chose your words gently when giving advice to other parents. There are a million books and sites that can preach what's best, but in the end, what is best for each family is up to them and their lifestyle. We must respect each others choices, even if we don't agree.
If you have an issue with another member, please bring it privately to a moderator. There is no need for public rudeness or "calling out". That just creates unnecessary drama and I like to believe we are all more mature than that.
If you have an issue with a moderator, please bring it to one of the administrators. We are not above following the same rules you are held to.
And finally, remember this is the internet. I realize we have bonded with some members here more than others, so it can get personal, but if there are two ways to take something posted and one of them makes you upset... read it the other way or close the thread. Most cases, it is not meant to offend. It may have been a poor choice of words, lack of knowledge or just a bad day. Let it roll off.
We have a very diverse group here and there is bound to be some differing opinions but as long as we are always respectful, we should keep the drama at bay.

I just think that somewhere along the line, it became ok to single members out, for whatever reasons, and the board at times resembles the very worst parts of junior high school girl cliques. I hated it then, and I certainly have no patience for it now. I know the mods have a thankless job, and they do it very very well. I think the rest of us need to follow suit for the good of the board going forward, myself included.

kimberley replied: Jeanne, ITA. it is never okay to single members out imo. that's why we have moderators... to keep the drama off the boards. the "bandwagonning" that seems to follow it is a disturbing flashback to the worst of my high school days. 
this is the nicest board i have ever been on also... and i'd like to keep it that way
