A new milestone... for me!

I was going to stencil in the border and paint a mural, but I just ran out of time and wanted to get it done before Christmas. She's so proud that she decorated her own room.

I'll share some pics when it is completely done. I had painted some letters that spell Ashley and I am waiting for them to dry so I can hang them. Then, I'll take some pics of the room and share.

Would you like to come to our house next...sunny, warm FL? I tried to decorate K's room but the purple hanging paper lamp makes the whole thing look a bit more like an Opium den than a toddlers room

AshleyRose replied: That is a milestone! I love doing things around the house. When we were moving in I tried to assemble the nursery dresser and messed up big time. But then I did the changing table and I was and still am so proud of myself. I never assembled some thing like that before and to do it all by yourself and with no help is a great feeling. I would definately get a sense of accomplishment if I did border too! I bet the room looks great!

ctymom replied: That's great I love learning to things to do around the house. I actually had to learn to remove wallpaper and how to spackle (sp?) the walls in order to paint. That was a pain!

I'm also trying to "finish" Corey's room. I stupidly pencilled in a garden mural all over CJ's entire room, so now I'm obligated to paint it long after I've lost motivation. I spent the better part of last Sat just painting the bugs; the way I see it, I should be finished in time for her wedding.
