ACK!!! Brianna is sick today... - ..and she is throwing up everywhere!!

My problem is that she doesn't seem to think she is sick because she is running around like any other day and every once in awhile she will stop and throw up. I can't get her to stay in one place. She has been sleeping in a toddler bed for awhile so I can't keep her in her crib. So far she has thrown up on her bed, on her bedroom floor, on my bed and on the couch. I'm getting sick just from cleaning it all up. HELP!!! How do I get a 1 year old to sit still and rest??

booey2 replied: Sorry she is so sick. They really have no concept that they are ill. The only time Thomas stops is when he is fevered and feeling really crappy but he has been like Brianna and runs around the house sick as a dog. Hope she gets better soon.

kit_kats_mom replied: The same thing happened here with Katherine. We just covered the floor and couch with towels, sheets, comforters, matress pads etc and let her go. If she hit one, I'd replace it with another. However, I think I ended up doing around 15 loads of laundry that week.

I'm so sorry you are having to go through this.

MilMunchMOM replied: oh no! we just went through that too!! towels, blankets and more towels and blankets. Do you have a splat mat for the kitchen?? We tried making a game out of getting it in the bucket too. It worked most of the time.

amynicole21 replied: Poor Brianna!! Sophia had it too, but she gave us a cue when she was going to start barfing, so we usually got her over the tile
This sure is a nasty bug! I've known so many people who have been suffering from it. I sure hope she feels better soon, and doesn't pass it back to the older girls!

Yep-she threw up one more time last night but she's been fine all morning. Hopefully it was a 24 hour thing.
