ARG... - How long should I let him sleep?!?
ashtonsmama wrote: Ashton's still out right now, he went down around 5:15, and if you didn't read the other posts, today has been awful...he's been really cranky, fussy, in pain it seems...and he didn't sleep more than 5 hours last night...so should I let him sleep more into the evening, like until 7? Or wake him now? I can still hear him breathing pretty deeply on the monitor, so I know he's still out...WDYT?
It's been a long day...
punkeemunkee'smom replied: What have you been eating lately? I ask because alot of foods that are really great for you can cause alot of gas pain when you are BFing. PM me if you want.
My3LilMonkeys replied: JMHO, let him sleep until he wakes up on his own.
ashtonsmama replied: I'm afraid he may sleep forever! No, that's what I'm thinking too actually...he has to be really tired...poor little guy.
C&K*s Mommie replied: hope you get to the bottom of it very soon.
ilovemybaby replied: Don't worry about it and enjoy it while it lasts! Seriously! Because once they get to about 3 or 4 months (I think) they stop sleeping as much. I wish Abby was still a baby.. she would sleep anywhere including on me. Now she will only sleep in her bed.
MomToJade&Jordan replied: Some babies will actually start teething this early. Both of my girls did. Have you noticed more drool then usual? I know yuck, but it might be why he's been so cranky.
Nina J replied: I'd just let him sleep until he wakes up on his own
ashtonsmama replied: Not really...that's what I've been looking for, but haven't seen much yet...so I'm guessing ear infection? Thanks.. ETA: He's still out, it's 7:34!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I agree. It may just be a growth spurt. Wil slept longer and had a couple "off" days whenever he would go through one. They go through A LOT of growth spurts during the first year, so I'm sure you'll experience days like this again. As far as teething, it definitely could be, but I'm not sure that would make him more sleepy. Not sure.
Hang in there mom...he will be fine!
ashtonsmama replied: Thanks Rae...I'll update tomorrow after the ped appt.
holley79 replied: When Annika has a rough night and is tired I just let her sleep till she is ready to get up. Normally she will go back to sleep at normal time that night. Seems to me she sleeps better when she's had a restful day. I hope it gets better.
I know you are BF has anything changed recently? Have you checked his mouth to make sure he hasn't developed thrush? I know these are the questions my ped asked when I was having problems with Annika's restlessness.
