About to have a house full of teens! - EEEP!

MoonMama wrote: In about an hour! HELP! For my little sister's school today is the last day before winter break. Every year her and her main group of friends she's grown up with (8 girls in all) do a pizza party, gift exchange, sleep over the last day of school before winter break. Everyone's parents take turns every year hosting it. Well my mom is sick so guess who is hosting it. wacko.gif wink.gif
Now I realize these girls are 15 and 16 but lord save my sanity. I have ordered the pizzas and salads that DH is going to go pick up. Then he is staying at a buddies, dry.gif way to be a team player there buddy! rolleyes.gif I went and bought them soda, juice, tons of junk food rolleyes.gif (have I ever mentioned I HATE junk food emlaugh.gif ), some cookies, pumpkin pie, stuff to make smoothies, waffles with lots of fruit and goodies to put on top in the morning. I rented the 4 movies my sister asked for. I'm letting them take over the whole down stairs, with the big screen and such, they will have pool, air hockey, ping pong, and all of DHs game systems to play. I have laid down rules and they usually are a good group of kids. But I am really hoping all goes well. unsure.gif Anyone have any advice or thoughts that I haven't thought of to make sure all goes smooth. unsure.gif wacko.gif wacko.gif wacko.gif wacko.gif

lovemy2 replied: Yep - get a bottle of wine for yourself - Good Luck with that one laugh.gif

grandma replied: Be scared, be very, very scared!
Do you have any type of anti boy security? lol

MoonMama replied:
OH YEAH! They know the first boy incident, the party will be over and it will NEVER happen again. So far we have never had an issue with boys. They seems to be happy to just have girls night each year. thumb.gif

Note to self go get wine! emlaugh.gif

Calimama replied:
emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif Forget the wine.. get the shot glass ready.

Anthony275 replied: keep your distance from them

grandma replied:
Let's see at that age we would be smoking, maybe sneaking booze and the boys would have been outside......lol We were bad catholic girls....

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Oh wow, your mom owes you big time!! I would go take a long bath. Let DH watch Braedin and maybe join the girls for some fun girl time, like painting each other's toes or something.

MommyToAshley replied: Oh my -- you are BRAVE. I have no advice, other than I second the boy patrol, LOL. Good luck!

Let us know how it goes tomorrow... that is if you are able. LOL!

lovemy2 replied:
Ha - I would stay far away locked in a closet with the wine and the shot glasses emlaugh.gif rolling_smile.gif emlaugh.gif rolling_smile.gif

luvmykids replied: Oy, you are very nice rolling_smile.gif The most I've had is three 13yo's and that was plenty for me laugh.gif

I'm sure they'll have a great time, sounds like you're well prepared. Hope they have a great time!

MoonMama replied: I had DH watch Brae before he left and I also went out and got the girls stuff to do their nails, and some cheap makeup to mess around with and a High School Musical game. One of the Mom's gave all the girls matching PJ's, socks & slippers. wub.gif

So far so good. unsure.gif I'm checking on them every so often, but nothing horrible....yet. blink.gif

The girls' mom's are all so sweet, they wouldn't stop thanking me for taking over for me mom and thought it was so nice of me to do. blush.gif I really don't mind honest. They gave me a gift basket with LOTS of neat goodies to pamper myself with....nail stuff, a holiday body spray, lotion, body wash, puff, bath fizzy, tea, a pretty tea cup, some comfy pajama's, slippers, socks, a book (one I had been wanting actually laugh.gif), and if you can believe it complete with wine. emlaugh.gif They also all gave me a gift card to get a mani & pedi at the mall. I was flooded. ohmy.gif wub.gif I really wish they haddn't done that, I seriously don't mind hosting. blush.gif blush.gif

A&A'smommy replied: WOW what a great group of moms!!!! love2.gif Have fun and I hope it goes smoothly all night!!! thumb.gif

Calimama replied:
You deserve it, your such a sweetheart Ally!! wub.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
Ditto! thumb.gif

MoonMama replied:

MotherForever2043 replied: I know I'm late on all this, but i'm glad everything went smoothly. That never happends for me when Esther and friends come here.
Those girls are such a good example, maybe Esther will learn something happy.gif That was really nice of them to get you all those things!

lovemy2 replied:
That is awesome - and I agree - you are very sweet to have done all this wub.gif and your DH too for having left for the nite emlaugh.gif

MoonMama replied: Well everything went great, there was no issues at all. I did take all cell phones around 11pm just so there was no temptation. unsure.gif A few of the girls parents loved that I thought of that. But other then the lack of sleep for them emlaugh.gif everything went great. Although now they all want to come over for another sleepover here. noooooo.gif rolling_smile.gif

MoonMama replied:
Eh he so copped out! That wuss (sp)! rolling_smile.gif emlaugh.gif tongue.gif

CantWait replied: wow that's amazing and very nice of the moms to do that for you. Everyone is right though, you do deserve it. Glad the night went smooth. wub.gif

gr33n3y3z replied:
