CosmetologyMommy wrote: Have you ever gone somewhere(Another state, another part of your state, etc) and people knew where you were from just from your accent? Funny thing is - after my first summer working at the beach I had picked up a NYC/Philly accent....that fall I started attending a new high school and didn't know anyone there. Mom2BNTN replied: Whenever I used to go to Philly everyone would love to hear me talk and even ask me to say certain words just so they could hear my accent. However, I can even go to Florida and they also love to hear my accent. I guess I either sound really bad or they just love hearing someone talk who sounds different from them. tongue.gif
