Just wanted to share! Don't know if everyone heard/ saw this on the news!
1lilpeanut2love replied: This is VERY scary. I had some of the Walmart brand of the Tylenol 500mg. It's trashed now!
cameragirl21 replied: i'm not a big fan of acetaminophen anyway, it causes liver damage and should be used very sparingly.
1lilpeanut2love replied: My doctor told me it was fine to take while I was pregnant.
cameragirl21 replied: they're actually just now starting to realize just how dangerous acetaminophen really is. it's fine to take once in a while but you should never take it everyday for more than a week and even that is a stretch. nowadays, when someone needs a liver transplant or has serious liver damage the first thing they'll ask is, "alcoholism or tylenol?" when i had to get surgery the pain killer they gave me had tylenol in it and i was also told i may have trouble getting to sleep so i was thinking of getting some tylenol pm and the pharmacist straight out said that i'll ruin my liver taking that much tylenol even for just a few days! sorry but to me, that's reason enough never to take it, why take chances?
CantWait replied: These days its unsafe to take anything, so like anything else I just take it when I really need it. Very sparingly.
gr33n3y3z replied: yes its very true we dont even own any in the house that I know of And they had known for a long time about the liver damage bc I have known over 4 years of this maybe longer
Boo&BugsMom replied: This is why I can't stand to put anything in my body. You just never know now a days.
grapfruit replied: How in the world did QC miss METAL getting to the pills??? Crazy!!!
I've heard that Ibprophfen (my spelling is really bad, forgive me) causes acid reflux. That the cases of AR have sky rocketed since it was approved for use in the US.
redplaydoh replied: OMG... DH installed a packaging machine at this company Perrigo. I just told him and he said, "that's not good!".
grapfruit replied: LoL, that's EXACTALLY what my bf would have said too. It's not funny, but it's funny that he said what Tim would say.
Ok did that make any sense at all????
Cece00 replied: It IS safe. You would have to take more than recommended for it to be dangerous. Dont worry.
I just checked the bottle we have in the house. Not on the list. We dont use it too much anyway, now that I'm not pregnant and can take other stuff.
Here is a link about it. Just like a lot of medications, yes, it can be unsafe when you are not careful and ingest too much. http://www.webmd.com/content/article/91/101061.htm
