After 5 years...

A&A'smommy replied: Sounds like allergies honey but it could turn into a cold, just make sure to rest as much as possible and drink LOTS of fluids!!! I Hope you feel better soon!!

Danalana replied: Yeah, it's feeling pretty miserable...I think I might try to go sleep.
I need some sort of medication, but I don't have any for this type of thing. I don't know why I'm wanting my mother...she never babied me when I was sick anyway

A&A'smommy replied: I know how you feel I get that way when I'm sick sometimes... you could take some tylenol or aleve for the irritation feeling that helps me sometimes...

Danalana replied: It's official. I'm miserably sick I don't know if I will go to work or not, seeing as how I sound ridculous when I talk. I also didn't sleep for more than 2 hours, if that. This just started coming on yesterday afternoon, and I already can't smell or taste. I might have to go to work just so I can get drugs (the eye doctor I work for is in Wal-Mart). Soooooo, I might be on here a lot today....unless I get really good drugs and am unconscious for a large portion of the day. That's what I'm hoping for.

Danalana replied: I went to work, but they sent me home. I figured they would, since my eyes are swollen and everything that can drip is dripping. I was also sneezing repetitively. I took a claritin 30 minutes ago, and I have nyquil for tonight. I pray it works cause last night was awful.

grapfruit replied: Sorry about your cold! Next time when you first start feeling it coming on hurry and take some Zycam (about $10 at the grocery store). I don't get sick a ton, but enough.

For the past year or so I've successfully driven off colds and even (I think) the flu (my BF, assistant and her entire family had the flu) w/Zycam. I swear by it! But you have to follow the directions and most importantly DON'T WAIT!!

Danalana replied: That's good advice. Heck, I didn't really have time though. It came on very suddenly. There were absolutely no warning signs. I had choir practice from 2-3 yesterday, and I felt perfectly fine. it wasn't until I got home and settled in for the day, but it was too late when the symptoms started.
I need for somebody to take care of me. Maybe Richard will get me soup. Not that it matters, since I can't taste it

Sorry! At least you know for next time!! They say as long as you start it w/the first 24-48 hours (the sooner the better) it can at least shorten the duration of your cold by at least 3 days.
