Allie slept through the night!!!

I started weaning her again this week, and about 3 nights ago I tried putting her to bed without nursing first and she went to bed just fine but woke up 2 or 3 times... I can't remember exactly. The next night she woke up just once which is always amazing and then last night I heard her start to fuss once and then she went back to sleep on her own!
I hope I'm not jinxing it by telling everybody... I'm too excited to not say anything. I can't believe I might get to start sleeping ALL night again! Oh Sleep, how I have missed thee!

mommy~to~a~bunch replied: That's awesome! I haven't slept through the night in years .
~Roo'sMama~ replied: I haven't really either since Andrew was born - maybe a handful of times during the times when he was sleeping well. I suppose I will keep waking up once a night until he stops waking up and coming to bed with us. Oh well - that's still better than having to get up and stumble down the hall 3 times a night and try not to fall asleep in the rocking chair while nursing.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I think she's officially weaned now. I haven't nursed her since tuesday night sometime, and she slept all the way through the night again last night. I just put her in bed now and I actually felt a little teeny bit sad that I didn't have to nurse her. I roll my eyes because I don't know if anyone has ever longed to be done more than I did, so it feels kind of silly to be even a little bit sad. I guess it's just one more thing that reminds me of how big she's getting.
A funny from yesterday ~ we were getting ready to leave the house and Allie saw me lifting up my shirt to put on deodorant and got all excited. She followed me around the house for the next few minutes saying "ha ha! ha ha!" (her noise for when she wants to nurse or when she wants a bite of something) That's the only time she's acted as though she wanted to nurse, and I was able to distract her with her cup so she was fine.
HuskerMom replied: That's great!
bawoodsmall replied: That is funny. It sounds like you got the sleep nursing thing whipped. Yeah for you. I must say I was so ready to be done nursing when they weaned themselves. Congrats on getting your sleep back. Now if you can get little andrew to stop coming to your room.
