Am I the only one who
Schnoogly wrote: has to change her toddler's entire outfit--including socks--after every meal or snack? Bibs are worthless. I don't even use them anymore. I just strip him down in his highchair and put the clothes right in the washer. In summer I'll just feed him in his diaper and take him outside to the kiddie pool and hose him down afterwards!!
How he gets food on his socks I am not sure!!
~CrazieMama~ replied: Oh boy, Brianna does not do this...lol I am glad too...I think I would go stir crazy...
victoire2002 replied: Nope, we're in the same boat. Especially after yoghurt, bananas, or oatmeal! Not to mention that it is all over the table and chair. I took him out of the high chair, but am considering starting to use it again because of the mess!

mummy2girls replied: Jenna is a really messy child when she eats..so i just strip her down to her diaper before each meal so she is not messing her clothes because at one point i was doing laundry every day...UGH!
Kaitlin'smom replied: your not alone...depending on what I feed her is how messy she gets! I usually save the messy stuff for bath night, that way after she is done stright into the tub she goes!
maliksmommy replied: When I pick Malik up from daycare I wonder how she keeps him so clean. When I feed him dinner he gets so messy! I go through so much spray and wash trying to keep his clothes not stained!!
kit_kats_mom replied: K's not usually too messy with her food usually but if it an outfit I like a lot or if she's eating something that just begs to be flung, like spaghettio's , I usually just strip her before she eats and I stay nearby with a wet cloth diaper to wipe up any spills.
jem0622 replied: Not usually but then again we don't let Gabe feed himself anything that requires a fork or spoon.
We do cut up meats, veggies, snacks, eggs, etc. But if it's yogurt, mashed potatoes, or any other runny product then he gets it with our help.
Oy. Maybe you should feed him in one of your t-shirts and then put him back in his own clothes? Just a thought. Still doing laundry though.

Jamison'smama replied: I keep Jamison in her pajamas to eat her oatmeal in the morning since I will wash them anyway. For lunch I TRY to do finger foods that are not toooo messy. If I do give her something like applesauce, I "help" her by putting it on the spoon and handing it to her. The spoons with the curved handles and holes in the spoon part that are supposed to grip the food better seem to help. For dinner, it is messy messy but by that time I don't care. So she thoroughly messes up two outfits per day but at least I don't have to change her in the middle.
Schnoogly replied: Well we never feed him anything that requires a spoon or fork, and he still manages to get it everywhere. Fruit, cheese stuck all over him. Peanut butter, oh man. I think the problem is that he doesn't really swallow much, but shoves it in his mouth until it falls back out and all over his lap. Still can't figure out the soles of his socks though...
I'm not kidding, he gets his entire outfit changed at least 4x a day. I do several loads of laundry every day, not including diapers! Argh!!

ROFL!!
kimberley replied: LOL Jacob was like that too. still is at 7yo you would think he would get some of it in his mouth
coasterqueen replied: Kylie isn't too bad, but she eats bkfast in her pj's and lunch at sitter, so dinner is the only time I have to worry about it, but she can get messy then, lol.
Daddy of Schnoogly replied: Yesterday, he got strawberry juice on the soles of his socks! In his high chair.
I'm still trying to figure that one out.
Kaitlin'smom replied: quite the talented kid!
