Man that guy is awesome. Only he could pull that off too. I just hope some other rock group doesn't steal his idea and record that, it would be an awesome single for him, win or not.

And a few weeks ago, Ace was singing and doing that sultry look at the camera, and I say to my DH... "OMG, he is totally giving the camera @#$% me eyes!" LMBO!

So, my DH asks me "Is THAT what mens @#$% me eyes look like?!?!?!" LMBO!!!

TANNER'S MOM replied: Well when I heard he was going to do Walk The Line. I thought wow some respect for Johnny. I am a big fan, even have his CD's in my vehicle way before the "Movie" came out. I am a fan big time of old country. My favorite Johnny Cash thing was kicking the foot lights out at the Grand Ole Opry!

But then I heard he was doing it a little bit different.. Randy and I both thought Wow how DISRESPECTFUL of his memory.

But before the song was over he had won us over..and we were digging it We were thinking wow a whole new generation to listen to Johnny's music! And a whole new genre~!

I loved Kelli, I thought she did a great Patsy. When they said Patsy, I thought oh Girl you can't pull that off. Your voice can't do a crazy. But she did good! Dh was very impressed too. Her best performance yet.

And of course I loved Taylor.

But dang it..didn't Mandesa look hot!

Kaitlin'smom replied: Yes Chis was on fire VERY HOT and WOW He is my favorite over all, Love Talyor he is fun. ManDIVA she looked awsome and sang great. Over all MUCH better show than last week by far. I am sorry but Kelly just does not do it for me I just dont like her anymore, she had no emotion when singing her eyes looked completly blank.

Overall LOVED the show and thank goodness for DVR I can watch Chris again.

I was not impressed with Taylors performance. I think he could have picked a more challenging song. But, I still like him

The others have talent and potential, but I think Paula had it right when she said that he should be touring and we should be buying tickets to watch him perform. He takes my breath away... amazing.

I am still not a big Chris fan. And that has to do with his range. He is one of those who can only sing one kind of song and always sound the same...boring! JMHO.

I wasn't too fond of anyone except the brunette who sang the Ella Fitzgerald song...DH thought she was the best too. I couldn't handle Elliott, although it seems the crowd loves him. Okay, I'm sounding over critical here, but get the frat boy off the stage! Nice voice, but just not Idol material IMO. Again, the brunette was the best IMO and the young guy was pretty good too. DansMom replied: I thought almost all the contestants did great last night, actually. Barry Manilow really did help some of them improve their stage presence and song styling. The best performances, IMO, were Mandisa, Paris, Katharine, Chris, Elliott, Kellie and Ace (in that order).

I thought Taylor's song-choice was exceedingly boring, Bucky too. Lisa bored me. Although Kevin probably did the best he's ever done or ever will do, he's not going to be the idol in the end---I agree that he's this year's version of the redheaded kid from last year whose name I can't recall either.

I have a feeling Lisa will be the one to go tonight, and she'll be joined on stage by Bucky. Who will be the third lowest? Kevin? I'm not sure.

I also think Kevin needs to go. Simon hit the nail on the head when he said that it just wasn't "realistic". It's a freakin' joke!! It's like they're keeping him on there just because he fits that underdog-nerdy little brother profile. Does anyone remember in the auditions when Simon told him he reminded him of a wasp?? DH and I laughed about that for the longest time...we still call him "the wasp" more than we call him "Chicken Little".

Chris is H-O-T, HOT!! I didn't realize just how hot he was until last night. Forget about Ace...Ace has NOTHING on Chris. I even said it out loud last night in front of DH. He said that he was just happy that it was Chris and not Ace that I have the hots for. DH doesn't like Ace very much. He thinks Ace sounds and looks like a woman. It annoys him (it kinda annoys me too) how all the teeny boppers ooh and aahh over him. The !@#$% me look is starting to get old and annoying. It's starting to seem too planned now, and not "natural". Kinda robotic. And other people try to copy it which is REALLY annoying. I don't know...Ace just doesn't "do it" for me. I like manly, tough guys...who actually need to shave... But I'm sure that when I was 14, Ace would've been my pick, too.


I still adore Taylor. I think he's real and has this awesome passion about him that basically everyone else kinda lacks.

I think Kellie is a riot. She cracks me up!! I CAN see where she can be a little annoying, tho'.

Elliot is good...just doesn't have that flare.

I LOVE Katherine....LOVE Mandisa...

I'm getting bored with Lisa and Paris.

I actually like Bucky. I think he's interesting. Maybe it's b/c I'm from the deep, dirty south as well. He's a little too illiterate and hick-ish (which is what gives us southerners a bad name) but he does add flavor to the group and he has that realness about him that I like about Taylor.

God I could just...nevermind that is for P&I Anyways, he was by far the best last night, I love Johnny Cash and at first I thought he was never going to pull it off and I thought it was sort of disrespectful like Mel said how he was going to change it up, but artists appreciate that when another artist change their song up and make it their own and not totally wreck it. Gosh he is just soooo hot!

Paris was wonderful last night, she was boring me but for some reason her rendition (sp?) of Fever was really good, I loved it and smiled the entire time she performed.

ManDIVA was freaking awesome and she looked really wonderful last night, very very sexy, I love her attitude and demeanor. She is a big girl but she has a lot of confidence and she exudes sexiness KWIM, she is beautiful despite her size and I think America sees that. It's about time Good for her.

Kelli did freaking awesome last night, I loved her Patsy Cline. I hated her comment at the end about her eyeleashes though, she really does need to stop being so ditzy. That does get annoying but I don't even think she realizes she is doing it. I mean honestly she is really just a simple souther girl, she is proabbly overwhelmed by everything that is going on. And when you take into consideration her upbringing, she probably isn't going to be the smartest but kudos to her for trying to make something of her life.

I loved Taylor last night because of his stage presence but I thought he could have picked a better song.

Lisa bored me, Ace always bores me, I don't like him. I do not like pretty boys, I like men like Chris (yummy)! I don't think Ace did good at all last night, I hated his version of that song. I thought he totally blew it.

Kevin needs to go, although he did better last night than he ever has, he is still out of his league.

I was dissapointed in Bucky, I didn't like his song, I normally like him.

Kathryn did wonderful, her voice is just beautiful, flawless, her and Mandisa have the best voices girl wise, Kelli is right behind them but she has something they don't have and I can't put my finger on it.

Overall I loved most of them last night. I think they all did a better job than they have been doing, but some just haven't raised the bar quite yet. I hope Kevin goes home tonight but I doubt it will happen, probably either Lisa or Bucky will go!
