And hubby couldn't be happier! Here's some pics from our ultrasound:

I'm getting lazy in my fat, pregnant days... so I'm just going to cut and paste details below from a post on my MySpace website... lol
So anyway, we had our 20 week ultrasound on Thursday, and Mike caved. He decided that he couldn't wait to find out what we're having, and that he can bond better with Peanut if we knew whether Peanut was a he or a she. Well, Peanut is officially a HE! I've posted the u/s pics here, and once you see them you'll realize there's little room for doubt. Peanut is a HE!! And apparently pretty proud of it!
When we got in to the u/s room, the tech first checked the baby's position. He was doing a head stand in the womb, resting right on my bladder. Thanks, buddy! Mommy really appreciates that! Once we saw his position, she asked us if we wanted to know what we're having. Mike struggled just a little and finally said yes. So she moved the wand around, and WHAM, there he was, in all his glory, legs spread wide for the world to see!! Nice to know he's gonna be a shy child... Go check out the pics if you don't believe me!
Anyway, she got some other really neat shots while she was checking his vital organs and such. Everything looks really good so far. He seems to be developing just perfectly. He measured at 20 weeks, 3 days, and according to my due date, we were at 20 weeks even. That's very normal, she said, because babies all grow at their own rates.
It was so neat to watch him moving around in there! She would move the wand, and he'd react. He had one hand up by his head in a fist, and the other crossed across his chest. And he just wiggled and wiggled! Finally, I think we wore him out, because he wiggled, and then he stopped! Ended up face down, on his belly, and that kid wasn't budging for anything! The tech was poking and prodding (OUCH lady, that's my BELLY!), but he wouldn't move. Looks like we have a sound sleeper on our hands!! That's Mommy's boy!
Long story short, because he ended up on his belly, we didn't get a good look at his heart. Additionally, I have what's called a "low lying placenta" which means that the edge of the placenta is at the cervix opening. If the placenta moves over the cervix opening, I can't deliver except by C-section. So we will have at least one more ultrasound, possibly more, to check his heart and to follow the placenta and make sure it pulls back out of the way. Oh darn... more pictures!
Ok, so that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
