Andrew has jaundice...
5littleladies wrote: Please pray for him. The hospital is talking about keeping him another night if his levels don't go down. They aren't too high-just high enough that they want to keep him on the light. I think Sara is getting anxious to get her little guy home so prayers would be appreciated!
moped replied: I think it is common, Jack was VERY jaundice...............he had to stay a bit longer, but it all cleared up fine after about 2 weeks...........they are in my prayers!
mckayleesmom replied: Sending them her way....can't wait to see pics
luvbug00 replied: Mya too. Very. Hers cleared up after a couple weeks and she's fine. She got to wear these cool little "sunglasses". I hope they can bring him home soon.
My2Beauties replied: Sending P&PT's their way! Poor guy
amynicole21 replied: Nora had it too... I know how distressing it is when your newborn isn't perfectly healthy.
I'll be keeping Sara and Andrew in my thoughts. I'm sure everything will be ok.
3xsthefun replied: Poor little guy! Sending them P&PT's!
ammommy replied: Megan was too. I remember crying because the nurse made it sound worse than it was and noone gave me any answers to my questions. It turned out to be no big deal, though. P&PT's their way.
ions_momma replied: Poor thing! I'll be sure to keep Andrew and Sara both in my prayers!
coasterqueen replied: Both my girls were jaundice. Kylie's levels were higher but they just had a home health nurse come out. With Megan her levels were a tiny bit lower but she was jaundice a lot longer than Kylie.
Hope he gets to come home soon.
~KARA~ replied: They are both in my prayers! I hope he is well enough to come home soon!
ediep replied: Andrew and Sara are both in my prayers
A&A'smommy replied: I have them both in my prayers I hope they get to come home soon I know she is ready to get things going!! ((((((HUGS)))))
mummy2girls replied: Awwww... Jenna had jaundice. But not severe enough to be in the hospital.
iluvmysweetiepies replied: Prayers his way...I hope Sara can bing him home asap!! I want to see pics of the little guy. Alexia & Broke had jaundice, as well as Ariana, but hers wasn't bad enough to stay in the hospital longer.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Awww...they are in my prayers. Maddie was jaundice, too. They didn't have to keep her, though. I think they should have (in hindsight). Ethan wasn't jaundice...they baked him til his was RED...really RED.
I bet she is anxious to get home.
5littleladies replied: Well the Dr. let them go home so hopefully she will feel up to posting in the morning!
mammag replied: Oh, I'm glad to hear she got to take him home and he's doing better. Can't wait to see his little face!!!
Jamielou replied: Im glad they got to come home I bet she is releived.....
coasterqueen replied: oh that's great news. if she's nursing that will help the jaundice go away quicker.
iluvmysweetiepies replied: Great news!!! I'm glad he's doing better.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Thanks for the prayers! It was pretty frustrating having to stay so long. It was so hard not to be able to hold him too because he had to be in the bili blanket as much as possible. I think he would have been fine if they would have let us go home at the normal time - one of my nurses said that his levels really weren't that high and she was surprised they'd made us stay. We were supposed to know by 9 last night if we could leave or not but they didn't decide until about 10:30 because it took the lab people forever to come poke his foot again. I wish we could have gone home yesterday afternoon instead of not getting home until midnight, but at least we didn't have to stay until today - the hospital smell was starting to really gross me out.
