Any Tae Bo fans?

I have been using the bootcamp series but they seemed to bulk me up muscle wise so now i'm using his original vids. I also use the Eliptical 30 minutes a day. Luckily my kids 5 and 2 know that first thing in the morning mommy has to exercise because she is neurotic and will have a terrible day if she doesn't!
kimberley replied: i do!! i had the original ones and loved it! i ordered the new bootcamp ones and haven't tried it yet because they arrived right AFTER i found out i was pg hopefully i can start them this week
Daisymom2 replied: Kim! I have been doing Tae bo workouts for 3 years now and that Boot Camp, omg....Definately tones you fast. I had to stop after 2 1/2 -3 months because they toned me too much! I only did the Basic and the Live ones, too! I lost 150 pounds a few years ago and have maintained my weight up until this past year and have been getting lazy in my eating habits, not the exercise tho. So I decided to tone up all the loose skin as much as possible and I ended up gaining back 15 pounds most of it is muscle. But my brain still seen ANY weight gain after such a loss and being at an all time low of 145, even if its good (muscle) as a bad thing so i'm kind of lost. Anyway, dont mean to ramble!
coasterqueen replied: I love Taebo!!!! I have his first vhs tapes, basic, etc. Then I bought his Cardio DVD and I have his best upper and lower body workouts dvd. I love the toning I get from it. No need to lift yucky weights when you have taebo. And I agree I get too tone if I keep up on it too much so I alternate between other videos and this, but now that I have a treadmill I'll alternate taebo with it.
I only get about an hour later in the evening after the girls go to bed so I only get a 30 to 60 minute workout in all together. So it's one or the other for me.
CAMSMOM1 replied: I had the orignal videos, and they really worked! But then I loaned them out to a friend, and never got them back. Now, I have his new Bootcamp videos. I haven't used them yet, but from what you guys said, I should! I want to get toned. I have a kangaroo pouch after having my son, and I would love to tone that! And if it works as fast & good as you guys say it does, then I should jump on it! I have to be in my best friend's wedding, in May, and I want to lose some weight and get toned. It's a strapless dress, so I need to firm up. Thanks for the motivation! I'll try it!

C&K*s Mommie replied: I loved the Tae-Bo workouts when I did them years ago. My MIL & I would workout together. But I got these awful headaches in the day or two following. It was only after I had done the Tae-Bo that I got the headaches. Maybe I was not consuming enough water, but I eventually gave up on them in order to alleviate the pain I got.
Daisymom2 replied: Yeah, a friend bought me the BootCamp Series last year. Yep, no weights needed with that, those bands are wicked!!!!! I lucked out. I got every TaeBo tape ever made at the Dollar Store for $1 a peice! Now I need one of those things that put your VHS to DVD!!!!
I also have a step tape and The Firm I try to rotate with the TaeBo.
coasterqueen replied: I don't have the tapes with the bands. Those bands do kick butt, though. I used them when I took an aerobics class long before I had Kylie. Blanks Cardio tape kicks my butt enough w/o the bands, lol.
I have several dvd's besides that too: Carmen Electra's Strip tease series DVD 1 & 2; Leslie whatever her last name is Walk Away the Pounds set for 1, 2 and 3 mile walks, some cardio dance dvd, Paula Abdul's cardio dance dvd and one other one I think, lol.
I also just bought a DDR mat and software but haven't gotten up the umpfh to do it after I tried one night and failed miserably.
kimberley replied: Nicole, the only way i get thru a workout is with a water bottle in reach at all times. i would bet that is why you are getting headaches.
Daisymom2 replied: I haven't drank water since I was pregnant with Josh. I can't stand it for some reason. Not ice cold, not flavored not at all! I drink 2-3 cups of coffee at 5am and an hour later i'm sweatin'!
DRINK YOUR WATER THOUGH!
I'm just stubborn and i know all the Diet Pepsi and coffee if not good for me!
Brias3 replied: I love Tae-bo. I have the Billy Blanks Ultimate Tae-Bo workout collection He's a goofy guy but I enjoy the videos....half the time Mason will join in too with me....he thinks its dancing!
redchief replied: I have all of the Tae-Bo DVDs too. Got the Boot Camp series (which IMO, isn't so much Tae-Bo as muscle building) for Christmas. Just started them a month ago. I'm amazed at the change in tone and I haven't moved beyond basic more than once (I got sick soon after starting and had to regress a little). I do full workout 3 days a week and abs on the off days, taking Sundays off completely. I haven't lost a lot of weight but my muscle tone is noticeably better almost dailiy. I gave away my original DVDs because the toning workout from the Boot Camp Series is just what I was looking for.
Oh yeah... Does anyone else yell at Billy Blanks on the TV like I do?
luvmykids replied: I guess I'm gonna have to try those Boot Camp videos, I want to tone up and fast, gotta be in a bathing suit by June
NEWMOM05 replied: I really would like to start Tae Bo, but I don't where to find the Dvd's of the original ones and have low energy due to a health issue. Do you think it would too much for me?
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Ohhhhh...same here! Maybe I should give Tae Bo another chance I want to tone fast...I didn't know tae bo did that.
coasterqueen replied: Tae bo is AWESOME for toning.
luvmykids replied: I ordered the boot camp set this morning, I'm excited to try it!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Good for you! Let me know how you like it. I may buy it too. Where did you order it from?
luvmykids replied: I just got it on his site, billyblanks.com. I didn't shop around a whole lot, I think it was maybe a dollar cheaper on amazon. Ebay had it too but the shipping was a lot more.
luvmykids replied: This is the review that really sold me on it .... tae bo boot camp review
Kated replied: OMG I lve them! Before I joined the gym thats all I did. They kick your butt!
