Any suggestions on a... - good wedding date?

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I would go with May 20th. That's just my preference though... I always wanted a spring wedding. Of course I ended up getting married in February.  But May is a nice time of year for a wedding. Either that or the Sept. date. August might be kind of hot.

JessC replied: yeah 2006, I cant go with anything in june cause I have really bad allegies.
I was kinda leaning toward may also... do you think that would give me enough time until then to plan it all?

Lol a year sounds like long enough to me! I planned my wedding in 3 months.

5littleladies replied: Well I'm partial to September because I always wanted a fall wedding, but if you are leaning towards the May date I'd say go for it! A year is plenty of time to plan a wedding-I only had 3 months to plan like Sara and we managed quite well. 
mom2tripp replied: I say September---we got married September 13th and it was beautiful the weather was awesome--although if you are going away for your honeymoon you have to be a little leary---we went to St. Lucia and fortunately Isabel missed the islands but hit home:(

I was married on May 12th so I am partial to May.

So, September has my vote.

Well Im located in Oregon, I really want to get married outside, I am looking up places right now, preferably with like a mountain view, DF likes the whole outdoor thing I want it formal, May here, is pretty nice and september is questionable it is always different each year. I am going to have my mom take pictures, photographers around here are crazy expensive!
Kaitlin'smom replied: I love may and october, we had orignaly planed to get married in may but moved it back cause we needed more time and we were not able to book a few things for that date. a year is plenty of time to plan a wedding, you can start looking for thing now and get some things you mgiht want on clearence and save money that way. congrats kepp us up to date 
Alice replied: Call some of the people you're thinking of dealing with- site, photographer, florist, caterer, etc. Ask if there's a difference in the price. Some lower their prices when "the season" is over.
Also, look into plan B- somewhere indoors in case of inclement weather. Ask them how you could work it and whether or not there would be a price differential.

That's true, but know that September has become second only to June for wedding dates. I'd stay away from August. Hot, muggy, funky summer rain showers.

I got married May 10, 2003 it was a PERFECT day and we had it outside!
MM'sMama replied: I have to say May too. Dh and I got married May 21st as well but in 2003. I love May the air to me just seems very pleasant and sweet plus I wanted to use lilacs and thats when they bloom here.
Also I forgot to add if you need any tips or help let me know. My brothers wedding is sunday and we did his on a pretty tight budget and its turning out really beautifully.
