Anybody else have hairy girls?

mckayleesmom wrote: Mckaylee has always been hairy. She has been hairy from birth. A couple months back she snuck into my bathroom and took my razer and shaved her legs. Thank goodness she didn't cut herself. The hair that grew back is really black though. I told her the other day I'm going to have to buy her an igea hair trimmer. rolling_smile.gif

I don't know where she gets it from either. I have dark hair on my head, but not anywhere else...Its all pretty fair and same with dh.

My niece is hairy, but it's light. It cracks me up. She has REALLY hairy legs. I'm 1/2 Italian so I'm pretty hairy too wink.gif I can't go long w/out shaving my legs (if I cared what people thought about my legs and I wore shorts ever I mean).

lisar replied: Lexi done that, she only shaved this little area on her leg but it grew back thick and black

mckayleesmom replied: Mckaylee's is thick and black too....I have a feeling she is going to have to start shaving early. laugh.gif

msoulz replied: My son has always been a really hairy boy. Erin doesn't seem so much yet, but she's young and her hair is lighter in color than Jake's was.

I am a hairy girl - sadly, that nice, thick hair we all like on our heads seems to want to be on the legs too . . . dry.gif

mckayleesmom replied: Maybe she does get it from my side of the family though. I think I take after my mom though. We both have never had to get our eyebrows plucked and both have dark hair but light body hair. Two of my sisters have to get waxed or they have unibrows, but they both have light body hair besides that though.

My niece..Peytons sister has a huge unibrow and I still don't see why my sister doesn't fix it. Drives me batty.

lisar replied:
Yeap Lexi to. But I also forgot to tell you that Lexi has this little patch of hair in the crease of her back down by her butt. Its not really dark or anything though. But she has had it since she was born, I think its cute.

mckayleesmom replied:
My hair has always grown super fast on my head. When I was younger I only had to shave once a week, but after having kids I think it grows back before I even get out of the shower..... laugh.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
Mckaylee has a hairy back too.....WHen she was born she even had black hair on her forhead.

lisar replied:
See after I shave and it grows back its so light that I can go a while without shaving again. I love it.

lisar replied:
I wanna see a picture of that. I bet it was so cute

mckayleesmom replied: I wonder how well those Veet things work? Might be the way to go... rolling_smile.gif They are bladeless right?

msoulz replied:
I hear you - it's more of a 5 minute shadow!!! blink.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Ashley has hairy legs too... but it is light-colored, thin hair. I am a hairy person and have to shave every other day, but I don't remember having hairy legs until I hit puberty. Maybe that's just when I cared about it? Anyways, I actually asked the ped about it one time blush.gif as I thought it was odd to have hairy legs so young, but it's perfectly normal.

Personally, I wouldn't get into the habit of shaving her legs (with or without a blade) at this early of an age. I think if she's out in the sun a lot, the sun should turn it blonde again.

Teesa®© replied:
I learned this a while ago: if you shave with hot or really warm water, it "swells" up your skin so you're not getting a proper, close shave. Try shaving in cooler water and see if that helps you.

msoulz replied:
hug.gif Oh, that sounds like a good idea - thanks!!!

Teesa®© replied: You're welcome!!! biggrin.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: Madison's my hairy child, but luckily hers is pretty light in color. She has very hairy legs though.
