flirtycuddle replied: It's a green anaconda lol. No it's nothing like the movies and will not get that big either. He should only get about 6-8 feet max and is gentle as can be lol.
Calimama replied: You are sooo hilarious.
Calimama replied: ONLY!? I have a rule nothing bigger than DH is allowed in our house..
My3LilMonkeys replied: It's a cutie!
PrairieMom replied: yeah... adorable!
AUGH!!!
MommyToAshley replied: I about pee'd my pants looking at the picture... could you imagine if I saw it in real life?
flirtycuddle replied: Yea most people are shocked I own one now lol. They are not a very popular snake to have as pets but that's just cuz they have a bad rap due to movies. I know pleanty of guys run and hide when I say have one and they can see if they want lol. Of course I have him in a locked cage higher then my kids can reach locked in a closet so there is no chance of anything happening. My son is obsessed with animals period right now so I wanted to cover every little possibility.
luvmykids replied: Oh gosh yes, please....
A&A'smommy replied: ick!!!!!!
My3LilMonkeys replied: You lock him in a closet? Good way to keep the kids out for sure, but makes me feel bad for the poor snake.
And now everyone on here is going to think I'm crazy since I feel bad for a snake.
grapfruit replied: No b/c that's what I thought too. At least it's not a spider!!
Crystalina replied: He probably likes it in the closet. Kind of like a den.
My dad had boa's growing up. They were fun expect at feeding time.

Celestrina replied: I helped take care of a boa in college; one of the teachers kept it in his office and I would help while he was away (yes I had access to a teacher's office). We had to feed him live rats. It was fun during the summer semesters because I would walk around the hall with a 5 foot snake draped around my shoulders. Oh, the looks I got!
The thought of taking care of one today makes me squirm, but not for the reason you think. I now have two pet rats and can't imagine having any animal that would want one for lunch.
lisar replied: The kind of snake it is, if it were at my house would be the dead kind. Sorry I dont snakes at all.
luvbug00 replied: I hear snakes taste like chicken..
no really if you like it i'm glad for you. Snakes do nothing to me...now post a spider and i will faint.
Crystalina replied: They don't bother me in the least bit. DH on the other hand! Our old neighbors were two spinster sisters and they always called on DH to do little things for them. One day he came home, fired up the tractor, grabbed shovels, a garden hoe a hammer and a gun. I asked him wth he was doing and he said, "The sisters have a snake in their vegetable garden and they want me to kill it." What the tractor was for I will never know. I walked over there and it was a bitty garden snake. I just grabbed it and let it loose on the other side of our house. I told DH all was safe now.
