Anyone dreading being PG during summer?
MommyToAshley wrote: Ashley was born in Sept, and I didn't think it was so bad. But, everyone always told me that I would hate being so PG during the summer. But, that's what they make AC for!
supermom replied: I am dreading it - we are here in Kansas where it is hot and HUMID!! Which means that normal 90 degree temps can feel like over a hundred!! Had a friend move here from Florida and he thought I was kidding when I told him it was nasty here, but after the summer he told me it was cooler in FLA!!!
This is the first time I will have to be PG over the heat of the summer, all the rest of mine were born in March, April and May so I had them before it got unbearably hot.
I am not looking forward to it at all, because I do like to be out, so I will just have to do it early and late and watch it because the heat makes me sick even when I am not PG.
OklahomaSooners replied: oooo Supermom I feel your pain. I'm south of ya in Oklahoma. This is my first baby, and I'm due Oct. 2nd.. but I'm not really dreading the summer pregnancy thing much. I try to look at the positives.. like Flippy Flops on my feet instead of boots, and fat and happy in the pool when it's hot!!
( Of course I say that now...)
MommyToAshley replied: LOL! You are a riot! You just crack me up!
OklahomaSooners replied: LOLOL
Thanks! Humor helps lessen the pain of being a blonde..
supermom replied: LOL - whereabouts in OK?? We're in Pittsburg, so we're less than 15 miles from the OK border - really close neighbors to all you "Okies" .....
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Lol!!!! You guys are a blast!!!
I had Zach on August 30th.... and we had air conditionning. it really wasn't that bad - I also had access to a pool, so I could go make like a whale when I got too hot. This time around I'll only be a half pg suring the summer.. (well 100% pg, but halfway through....)
To tell the truth, I'd rather be cold than hot... because you can pile on the blankets, but you can't go past nekkid.
OklahomaSooners replied: We just bought a house in Choctaw, OK. The family business is in Choctaw so I actually live 2.2 miles from work. Sleep in longer!!! YEAH!!!
Mom2_my3boys replied: Oh I totally dread being pregnant for another summer. I was preg. all last summer and had my 2nd son in Sept. Now look where I am at again! Gosh you would think I would learn! We live in Ohio, but it can get nasty here too. Not as bad as the people out west though. I feel for you ladies!
MommyToAshley replied: Where in Ohio do you live? Dayton Ohio here!
Mom2_my3boys replied: We live in Wooster. Have you ever heard of it? It is kind of known for all its wackos. Sad but true
MomofTay&Sam replied: Sam was born in Nov so I endured the summer too. I stayed inside alot and sat in the shade when there was no a/c. The clothes were the best, bike shorts and big t-shirts! I had to buy preggo work clothes for Oct and Nov that was a waste of money.
