Anyone else's toddler talk themselves to sleep?
MommyToAshley wrote: When I put Ashley down for her nap, she will talk and talk and talk. I hear her over the monitor just yackin' away. As soon as I hear her stop talking, I know she is asleep.
She'll do the same thing at night, except at night she usually talks about the day's events. Maybe she will be a news reporter when she grows up.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: What a character. Claudia talks herself to sleep as well. And if she isn't asleep before her brother goes to bed she has to talk to him as well!
amynicole21 replied: Sophia has spoken in her sleep before... it cracks me up Last time she must have been dreaming about her auntie's purse because she said "Titi, bag!"
ediep replied: yup, Jason does this quite often. I really cracks me up!
paradisemommy replied: i don't have a talker but i have a hummer!! since we're still nursing..he hums and hums and hums and only stops when he's about to fall asleep!!
MomToMany replied: Hannah does this, and she usually asks for "yummies" (her word for nursing) in her sleep !! DH thinks it's hilarious!!
aspenblue1 replied: Isabella talks herself to sleep also. That is when she actually goes to sleep.
A&A'smommy replied: awwww LOL she is such a cutie!!!
coasterqueen replied: I can't even get Kylie to lay down by herself to go to sleep let alone for her to talk to herself, lol.
lsjulee replied: all the cuties.
MomToJade&Jordan replied: LOL!!!!! Yup infact I just had to listen to Jade chat away on the monitor. I am hoping that the silence means she has gone to sleep.
kimberley replied: teehee! that is so cute!! i can just picture Ashley doing that too. she is such a doll!
juliajaj replied: Olivia usually sings herself to sleep. She's been doing this since she was around 6 months old. My mom loves to listen to her sing, so I turn up the monitor when I'm talking to Mom on the phone so she can enjoy the concert.
MommyToAshley replied: Looks like we're not alone. I bet all the talking and singing babies are soo cute!
Ashley will lay in her bed with no problems during the day. I just started laying Ashley down in her bed at night again the last two nights, until recently she wanted to be rocked. But, even when I rocked her, she yacked until she fell asleep.
momof2girls replied: My older dd used to always do that, it almost seemed like she was telling someone about her day or talking to someone, it used to crack me up and freak me out a lil bit! She is a big talker!!! She got the award for the most talkative in her class this year.
MommyToAshley replied: There's an award for that? LOL! I bet Ashley will be a contender for it as well! LOL!
