Anyone feel the earthquack this morning?
DillsMommy wrote: It woke me up! I thought it was thunder at first and then thought maybe it was an earth quack--yeah right--and fell back to sleep.
Kaitlin'smom replied: nope slept right though it at our house.
Karen I think you might be the closest to the 5.4...everything ok?
Sarah did you feel it pretty good there?
anyone elce in centeral IL?
coasterqueen replied: I slept right through it. All of us did. My neighbors said they felt it, though.
coasterqueen replied: Yeah, we apparently had many reports of strong shakes here in Springfield, but like I said, I slept right through it.
Kaitlin'smom replied: probaby better that way.... glad all is well I though of you and sarah when I heard where it was.
coasterqueen replied: Thanks.
Yeah, I was a bit shocked when I saw the news this morning. The bad thing is being in the insurance industry we are scrambling this morning to get advisories, press releases, etc. out.
A&A'smommy replied: OMG I'm glad everyone is okay!!!
bawoodsmall replied: So a crazy day for you at work! I live in Burlington, Iowa and a coworker said it woke her up(she lives in a trailer) but not at our house. I am gonna have to ask dh if he felt anything. He would have been driving. Glad everyone is ok.. Good luck at work Karen.
Kaitlin'smom replied: tell me about it I am expecting to have to field phone calles today
Sarah&Mackenzie replied: Yes I felt it, but thought it was a train at first since I live only a block and a half away from the tracks. Then got up and realized it was the earthquake after hearing the news.
My2Beauties replied: Brian and I felt it, we woke straight up out of bed and was like what on earth was that. We thought it was thunder at first because of the noise it made and we loked outside, no rain or anything, odd for thunder to be present with no rain, but the shaking just lated way too long to be thunder. I said I guarantee we just had an earthquake, sure enough. We didn't get it as bad as areas in Indiana did.
coasterqueen replied: I'm outta here at noon whether it's busy or not. Of course it's supposed to rain, but I'm still going to enjoy the afternoon with my beauties.
Hope the calls slow down for you today.
coasterqueen replied: Glad it wasn't too bad in your area.
I know where my friends live near St. Louis traffic downtown was terrible because a piece of a bridge crumbled and they have the whole area blocked off.
grapfruit replied: Me too! We had a phone call first thing this morning, a lady felt it while in bed and wants to add Earthquake coverage.
grapfruit replied: Ok, I just have to comment on the title.......cracked me up.
Earth QUACK....not quake??
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: Wow -- we are 20 minutes south of STL and I slept through it at 4:30 but DH was up getting ready for work. He was in our garage and said he could hear the chimney shaking and rattling and he heard a big gust of wind. I tell ya, I can sleep through anything --except a baby crying. LOL
Kaitlin'smom replied: I am suprised I have not had any calls yet......
sparkys2boys replied: Yikes, glad you all are ok!
DillsMommy replied: Yeah-yeah. I thought something didn't look right. Lol. That's what happens when I get in a hurry. Anyone wanna add me an E.
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: what's more scary is that I didnt even notice! LOL
