Anyone here snoop?

MomofJandB wrote: TannersMom got me wondering. Have you ever snooped to see what you're getting for Christmas?

I never do it on purpose, but my DH does alot of shopping online and uses our joint email address. Therefore, the confirmation comes to our email and I open it...oops! He learned this year and uses his work email, so looks like I'll be surprised this year! rolling_smile.gif

Josie83 replied: No, never! I wouldn't be able to lie to him for one thing . . . he would know on my face immedately! I am the world's worst liar! And aos, i just wouldn't want to. I found a list the other day actually of what he was geting me, and I covered my eyes and slammed it back in the desk drawer! i told him i had found it but that I hadn't read it, and he just laughed and said he should have hidden it better! i don't think he looks either. I remember ONCE we did it when we were kids and it totaly ruined the surprise! xx

kit_kats_mom replied: Nope. I love the suprises.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I hate surprises. As a kid I used to unwrap my gifts and wrap them back up. I know, I'm horrible. biggrin.gif I spoiled my own engagement from being nosey (DH still doesn't believe I knew he was going to propose before he did it, tho) DH has learned and is very good at hiding things now. Usually he lets me do my own shopping, though. thumb.gif

loveydad replied: OMG NO! Last year before Christmas I had told my sons (v and k) that there was such a mess under their bed that they could grow mushrooms down there...big mistake. Lets just say it wasn't pretty. They'd taken a bunch of dirt and put under thereand were trying to grow me mushrooms for christmas. I hate mushrooms. For my birthday my son gave me a sandwhich. I didn't eat it. I asked what it was and he goes "a booger sandwich" really proud of himself. Eww.

gr33n3y3z replied: lmao loveydad

I cant snoop Ed hides EVERYTHING in his office in the Fire House and I cant go in there this time of year. He even hides the kids stuff there also.

MommyToAshley replied:
I'm just as horrible, I used to do the exact same thing. But, I am a good girl now... of course there is nothing under the tree tempting me at the moment. laugh.gif

5littleladies replied:
Hee hee! I did that too. How naughty is that? tongue.gif

I don't snoop anymore-especially since Dh and I aren't buying for each other this year. My only problem this year has been with our online christmas lists for my family-Once you put your list up you can't go back and look at it because youcan see what people have gotten for you. I've been really tempted but haven't peeked so far. happy.gif

Heather replied: Believe it or not. I don't. I like being surprised. The only problem is, my DH always gives me my gifts way ahead of time, LOL!

Kaitlin'smom replied: as a kid yes, but when mom cought on she starting hiding them at work

now no, DH would always give them to me early, he just could not wait. We have gotten better about waiting. He does not since I keep them at work...well some of them anyway...LOL

Also I ahev to wait to put things under the tree for him other wise he will guess whats in them wink.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied: OMG no... I would feel so terrible if I found out what I was getting, I'd probably cry! tongue.gif Dh has had my birthday present sitting in a box in a room we're not using for a couple of months and I avert my eyes every time I go in there just so I won't see how big it is! I never did it when I was a kid either ~ I think once my sister started to unwrap something but we felt too guilty. laugh.gif

favre4fan replied: I used to snoop a lot as a kid. I would try to untape the corners to see if I could see anything. blush.gif

TANNER'S MOM replied: Well, I try not to be a big snoop...But sometimes I am at the house alone and I give things a little shake.

Okay, while I was doing laundry I found one of my presents in the linen closet under some blankets. I really don't know how to take the gift either. It is a nice electric razor for women. It was 49.99. wet/dry etc...

well in my mind I can't figure out if he thinks I really would like that, which I do, or he thinks I am really hairy..

Kirstenmumof3 replied: No I never snoop! blush.gif Not me! laugh.gif I used to when we were first married, but now DH has learned not to buy ANYTHING until Christmas Eve.

Boys r us replied: I hate suprises too...and I also used to unwrap my presents too as a kid before christmas and then wrap them back up!!!

But now a days, I don't have to snoop..I know I'll get exactly what I asked for..always do rolleyes.gif how boring!

I was a little suprised with him though..I told him I needed some more of my fave perfume, Ralph lauren, Ralph. So I offered that as an idea of something to get me for christmas. So I know he went shopping the other day b/c he called me at work and says, " what was the length of the gold chain you wanted, I'm at the mall now ohhh and what was the name of that perfume again?" Nice..huh..so I was like great..just like every other year..exactly what I asked for..then he came home and he said he found some perfume that he liked better..SOOOOOO appears as though he's using his lil noggin a little this year!

My2Beauties replied: No I never snoop I feel too bad because I don't want to spoil the surprise for the person who got it for me. I usually make Brian use his imagination when shopping for me, I know that makes it hard but he is good at it. Brian is so great at giving gifts! wub.gif

Brian likes to snoop though, and the sad thing is this year I have to wrap things differently because every year he picks upa box and shakes it and knows what it is! Ugh, makes me so mad! I always say no that isn't what it is so HA blush.gif knowing I'm lying, so this year I'm gonna have to be creative in wrapping his presents! unsure.gif

Kila replied: I love surprises but I love to snoop more. I have always been that way. I just get so excited I can hardly stand it.

3xsthefun replied: I don't really like suprises but I try not to snoop either. wink.gif But that doen't mean that I haven't accidently found my presents! *LOL*

A&A'smommy replied: No I like to be surprised I use to but now I don't want to know until I open it...

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
Atleast he goes out and buys your gifts for you. DH tells me to get my gift. rolleyes.gif How great is that?? I would atleast like for him to TRY to surprise me. LOL! (I know, I'm difficult)
