Anyone mail out - holiday cards already?

My friend who has three kids, just moved into a new home last week, has the kids in totally new schools, ALREADY got her's out!! And not only that, but there is a beautiful black and white photo of her and the family, sitting in the forest, all 5 of them smiling perfectly, and she took the photo herself! Grrrrr.

Okay, so I'm a little envious....But why can't I get my act together and get them out BEFORE Xmas this year??? The thought of getting my family dressed up, all smiles, outside in the forest is literally a scary thought. I think the Target studio is calling my name........

coasterqueen replied: No, but we got a few crappy family ones while on vacation so one of them is going to have to do for our Christmas card this year. I don't have the time or the patience to go somewhere OR stage something myself at home. Dh and I didn't like any of the ones from vacation, but like I said one will have to do.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: They make it so easy now on Shutterfly and sites like that, but still, I just can't seem to find the time either. If I'm dressed up, DH is not. Or vice versa. It's so hard to get us all looking well enough to take a family photo. I may ask my friend to take one of us this weekend, the friend who already got hers out. But I feel bad asking when she's in the middle of a move!! Anyhow, I may just grab a photo of the boys and call it done...Who wants to see DH and I anyway, although my mom always complains each year that it's not all four of us. Ugh, the anxiety is setting in...............

luvmykids replied: I never send pics with ours, this year I thought of doing a pic with all the kids in jeans, white t's and santa hats or something but I have a feeling I won't quite get around to it

I haven't put up our tree yet (usually do it the day after Thanksgiving)
I haven't put our lights outside yet (and the warm weather has come and gone)
I haven't bought Ashley's dress yet, let alone get her pic taken in it
So, nope, I haven't sent out cards yet... I haven't even purchased them.

I hope I have made you feel better. At least you don't hate me.

Our Lil' Family replied: Just mailed mine this morning. I'm really particular about that though. The tree can wait, cards can't!

We were going to do pics from vacations over the past year, but I saw the three photo collage option at Walgreens and so now I want to make at least one of the photos "Christmas-y" and do a picture in front of our tree...which is also not all the way ready.

I'm sooooo behind this year. Of course, now I'll probably be even later than expected because I realized I ran out of the holiday return address labels so now am waiting on that order too

Can anyone say disorganized??

AlexsPajamaMama replied: I have the cards purchased, got them at the end of Christmas last year when they were marked down...and I printed pictures at home to put in them...and the list made of who to send them to...just have to get around to doing it!

3xsthefun replied: Nope. I bought cards yesterday but haven't done them up yet. I thought about doing a picture of the kids this year to put in the cards. But not sure if I will be able get one done in time or not.

Mommy2Isabella replied: Umm ... as far as we have gotten is getting Bella's Christmas dress, I still need to get one for my OVERLY LARGE SELF!! Sal has a nice burgundy shirt ... lol

We plan on getting pictures done next weekend!! We will see how that plan pans out though!!
