Anyone seen Bodies The Exhibition?
Crystalina wrote: I just saw that a mall in Columbus has it. I'm thinking about going and taking the kids. We watched a program about it on t.v. and they were very interested. The program was about how they got the bodies but they did show a bunch of them and how they were made. We got to see a good bit but I'd love to see it IRL.
kit_kats_mom replied: It was interesting. Not for the squemish though. I probably wouldn't take the kids.
gr33n3y3z replied: We were going to go see it in Philly when it was here in the summer just never got to it
PrairieMom replied: I really wanted to go to the one In Vegas, then I watched a dateline episode about it, and how it is believed that many of the bodies are those of Chinese prisoners that are being displayed with out consent. There are run down factories in China where they make these displays, but no one seems to "know" where the bodies come from, yet there are bodies missing of prisoners that had been executed. Apparently it is pretty taboo in that society do display a body like this, so people were really worked up about it. For that reason alone, I will not be going. Even tho I know that many people donate their own bodies and all that, I just don't want to chance possibly funding activities like those.
mckayleesmom replied: what is it?
sparkys2boys replied: That's what I am thinking?? Are you talking "real" bodies here or what??
danahas4monkeys replied: They have a website http://www.bodiestheexhibition.com/
I am seriously considering going a few people in my anatomy class said it was really cool to see!
MyBabeMaddie replied: They have it here until the beginning of May - its awesome. The only thing I would worry about with younger kids is that they have babies - embryos to like full term on display too. Other than that - its very, very cool!
Crystalina replied: That's the show I saw also. It seemed like a pretty shady operation but I think I would still go see it. I think it started out legit and then people got greedy and that's where the missing bodies come into play. The original notion for the show was on the up and up but I agree that it's hard to tell which bodies have permission and which don't.
My2Beauties replied: I can't stand the sight of other people's poop, I think I'd be too squeamish for this one I'd like to, but I'd probably barf a couple of times.
Crystalina replied: Poop? I don't think they show the poop.
Cece00 replied: I REALLY want to go. We will pass one when we go on vacation this summer & I already told DH we were going. I'm excited, I love that stuff.
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: my bil and two sisters saw it and RAVED about it.
