I had my apointment yesterday...... I went in hoping to get some news...... but they just checked my bp, weight, and the baby's heartbeat...... I asked them to check if I was anymore dialated.... but she told me she couldn't reach, and couldn't tell me if I was dialated....

I told her that they checked me in l&d on sunday, and that they told me that I was 1cm...

So I don't know if I have dialated more..... Since she really didn't try to find my cervix, and tell me if I have anymore......

I told my sister-in-law, cause her and my brother just had a baby about a year ago.... and she was having a similar problem, with her contracting 5 min's apart for 2 days..... she didn't get much sleep, so she called her Dr. and he told her that if she took 2 25mg of benadrylit would help speed up the labor, and dialation progress.... so @ 9pm she took the benadryl and by midnight she was on her way to the hospitel.... and had the baby a few hours later....

I have had a stuffy nose and been sneezing the past few days..... so I took some benadryl, I took 2 25mg @ 5:30pm, and by 6:08pm I lost my mucus plug.... no spotting yet, or bleeding, and my water hasn't broke yet... so I'm still sitting and waitting.....

& I'm still having contractions 5 min's apart, but not strong enough ones to go in to the hospitel again.....

Well then the nurse practisioner scedualed me for next tue, for another apointment... and told me that if I don't have him by then, they will scedule me for an induction for my 42nd wk..... I hope he comes soon.... these contractions are getting anoying, having then since friday 5 min's apart.... and I really don't wanna wait another 2 wks to get induced......

I'm tierd, and just wanna get this over with, and my husbend is starting to get cranky from all the waitting..... he's getting anoyed that the baby isn't here yet, and we are this close.... I mean, wow, I'm due tomarrow, and this close, but still he's not coming out.... LOL.....

But anyway...... I'll update you all later..... maybe if I'm lucky, he'll come tonight..... LOL

Yesterday I felt damp in my croch area all day, and I was wearring a pantie liner, and had to change it... so I called the l&d on base and asked them if my water broke, could it slowly leak threwout the day..... they said yes, well then they asked how much I felt baby move, it was only like 3 or 4 times yesterday... so they had me come in..... they put me on the moniter, an I was still haveing contractions 5 min's apart, but not strong ones...... they said the baby looked fine, and was moving all right.... I just couldn't feel it......

Then they checked to see if my water broke...... Nope, son't know what it was, they couldn't tell me, but it wasn't my water..... there was no furning...... then they did a pelvic exam, to make sure..... and did another swab, still nothing.... so they checked to see if I was dialated, adn again I told them I was dialated, to 1cm, so she checked again..... she said I was a bit more....... 1.5 maybe even a 2......

Today is Mason's due date, and still no baby...... I can't wait until he comes... well I hope you all the best..... hope to hear from you soon.....

maestra replied: Something similar happened to me on my last pregnancy, so when I leaked again, naturally I thought it was just urine and didn't go in. Well, the leaking the second time turned out to be a high leak and I was leaking a little bit at a time. But they gave me antibiotics during labor and she was fine.

Still waiting here too! I was 4 days late with Jaci, but I didn't start to dilate with her until 39 weeks. Maybe yours is just as stubborn as she is!

I hope he comes soon though..... this waitting is getting the dh grouchy, having to go in all the time, and then them telling me that he's gunna be reallly late, and told us that on tue, we have an apointment to get and induction date.... so he's getting alittle grouchy, and my family back home is getting anxiouse...... everyone is on the edge of their seats.... this is the first grandbaby on both sides.... so everyone is waitting......

kit_kats_mom replied: I so feel your pain. I've been having the same symptoms as you. I actually stole a long bit of the litmus tape that they use at my OB's office to test for leaks. I figured if it saves me from a trip to L&D during the holiday's (at $100 a pop) it's totally worth it. Your discharge increases prior to delivery and it can range from watery to slippery. I've also heard of many women having flu-like or cold-like symptoms prior to delivery.

With my first, I was dialated 2 cm for about a week but then I lost my mucus plug and my water broke 12 hours later...12 hours after that I had a baby. I had NO pre labor symptoms at all.

With this one, I started dilating at thanksgiving (1cm) and have been having contractions since then but not increasing in intensity and they let up often. I'm now 2-3 cm (as of Tues) but I'm not really convinced that she's coming for the next few days.

Good luck to you. I understand your frusteration but maybe you will go today.

Then I lost my mucus plug the other day, went in again, and they said I'm a posable 2cm, but everyones finger size is differant and i could be between 1 and 2cm.......

So I'm hopping soon.... I really don't want a Christmas baby, they only get presents once a year... LOL....
