Apology - Regarding Jennifer's post

My2Beauties wrote: I wrote this in the post but just incase no one goes back to it, I wanted to apologize, I think someone took offense to what I said, and it just came out the wrong way, here is what I posted:

While I stay away from discussions about religion (which also means I didn't read that thread), your comment on Chemo gives me cause to post here.

My mom is a nurse and also has/ had cancer. She is currently on a sheduled Rituxin (sp?) treatment plan. I can't remember the frequency, but when she goes, she's there all day hooked up to an IV for about 8 hours.

The reason I mention it is because science has come a long way with regards to Chemo treatments. They've found a way to target just the "B" cells so the treatments are less traumatic to the patient. My mom usually gets a bit tired, but that's it. No loss of hair etc.

I don't know if this applies to the other thread, but thought it worthwhile to mention.

Good luck to the person in this situation.

Mommy2BAK replied: No offense taken here. I understand what you were trying to say. Some people may just be a little sensitive to the topic, if I had lost someone close to me I know I would be. You are a good person LeeAnn, and I think we all know what you were meaning.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Oh my goodness, hun! I didn't take it offensive at all. What you said was pretty much the truth and how we all would probably feel in that situation. I'm terribly upset (still...6 years later) at Scotty's mom for not paying more attention to her health. I think she was very selfish, but I will stop there. wink.gif

My2Beauties replied:
Thanks everyone! I guess this just stems from certain things going on with Brian's family. Like his dad has high blood pressure and their family has a history of heart attack and prostate cancer and it scares me that they continue to eat like poop! I don't have the best diet, but if my health was on the line you best believe I would change everything I could to stay with my family and I would follow up with doctor's appointments when asked to. So it sort of hit me when I was writing about how upset I would be if that were me and I was in his situation. BUt one can't be selfish in these circumstances so he has to put those feelings aside, it would just be hard to do knowing they could be around for 20 more years had they just seen a doc, maybe or maybe not but I'm sure he could live better knowing she at least tried versus not doing anything about it. So I'm glad everyone got what I was saying! Thanks guys! You know I would never intentionally make anyone upset, unless we're debating what a weenie George Bush is tongue.gif

rolling_smile.gif You know that's why I love you, LeaAnn!
And you also know that I just lost my dad to cancer a few months back, and in no way did I think you came across insensitively.

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
Okay, NOW I'm offended! mad.gif

Just Kidding! rolling_smile.gif

My2Beauties replied:
laugh.gif Hee hee! Had to say it!

5littleladies replied:
ROFL!! rolling_smile.gif Ok let's not even go there. wink.gif

3_call_me_mama replied: It is hard to lose several people to a deadly disease and then hear it is so curable but not true for those you love and lost. No offense taken by your post, just hit a few heart strings smile.gif adn i totally understand how upset you would be if this were happening to you, it is devestating to know that you may lose someone you love. Were are here to support adn encourage each other right?! Even if that may be shining light on a touchy subject.
And i agree about George bush , BTW wink.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
I'm not American.... but I agree.... it's ALL I see on the news.... he's such a....

I'll leave it at that... I didn't vote for him, as I'm not an American, so I don't have the right to comment on his inability to function without any members of his staff present to tell him what to do or what to say, without actually doing or saying anything relevant to the matter at hand.

A&A'smommy replied: Okay lets not get into the George W. debate wink.gif

I think what you said was TOTALLY the truth we all would have felt that way!!

My2Beauties replied:

coasterqueen replied:
