Appointment today :)

Danalana wrote: My appt. was awesome! They called me back for the cup-peeing, and that went off without a hitch--I didn't even pee on my hand! Then they realized we hadn't tested for HIV before, so I got to get stuck. Then they sent me back out into the waiting room for a while. next, they called me again and I thought I would see the doctor. She told me the doctor wanted me to hear a heartbeat and that it might be too early for Doppler. SO, she said we would do a quick abdominal ultrasound to get a heartbeat!!! I was on cloud 9, let me tell you. As soon as she put the wand on there, I could see my little baby...s/he was jumping around and flailing its arms around. It was SO wonderful to see. The heartrate was 173, which is awesome I got a couple of pictures and I might try to scan them in later. They're just not that clear because A.) vaginal u/s is clearer until 12 weeks, and B.) baby didn't wanna hold still!
So anyway, that is my wonderful update

Yes, I believe that IS the tale. A lady at work did the dangling pencil over my wrist test, and it indicated girl For fun, I also did the chinese gender prediction chart...it says girl too. I must say, knowing will be so excting, but we will honestly be thrilled with either. *sigh* so happy!

Danalana replied: Hehe...I don't think I would have had one if he hadn't wanted a heartrate. I guess he doesn't like trying doppler when there's a chance you might not hear it. It's upsetting to mothers, I'm sure. At least I had already heard and seen it, but I'm so glad I got to do it again!

Tammy, the heartbeat was 123 at my 6 1/2 week appointment
