Are you KIDDING ME!?!
PrairieMom wrote: Tickets for sesame street live: $60.00
Boo&BugsMom replied: WHAT?!?! I can think of much better ways to spend $60. That's a lot of money to see a bunch of actors dressed up in furry suits. They don't even have to act, they just walk and make gestures.
Mommy2Isabella replied: Elmo is just trying to keep up with the Jones'
LOL Kidding ... that is crazy!!
Calimama replied: I have a Sesame Street DVD you can have. You'll probably be able to see more than sitting in the back of a theater.
Cece00 replied: Yeah, they are ridiculous.
I wont even tell you what I ended up spending on Monsters Inc on Ice for 2 kids, with snacks, toys, tickets, etc. a couple of months ago.
PrairieMom replied: thats $60 A PIECE. Ben just asked if he could go, so I looked up prices online. um... I'm not paying a weeks worth of grocery $ for that!
mom21kid2dogs replied: Yeah. You don't want to know what we paid for Cheetah Girls and HSM tickets last year. Suffice it to say WE (Stephen & I) didn't see anything even remotely close in cost. Personally, I love the $5 service charge PER TICKET. Um, yeah . . . .nobody made any money on the $75 a ticket, huh?
holley79 replied: NOPE wouldn't pay that much to see it. Is that for the entire family to be able to go?
luvbug00 replied: I know the feeling hence my dad takes mya to all those things. I just can't afford it.
PrairieMom replied:
thats for 1 ticket.
bawoodsmall replied: Holy Cow. That is ridiculous. I have been wanting to take the kids to see something but was always to afraid to look up the price. Now I know why.
stella6979 replied: You could always check ebay. DH and I buy all of our tickets from there.
Anthony275 replied: i think i spent $120 ea. on tickets for an 8 hour concert. what's this, 3 hours?!
PrairieMom replied: 3 hours?!? I hope not. They should pay ME to sit through something like that for 3 hours.
momtoMegan&Alyxandria replied: I bet it was outrageous. I always wanted to take Meg, but looking at the prices scared me away.
For Christmas last year I was suppose to take her to see the Nutcraker Ballet. I only paid $88.00 for that. Which imo is cheap for Ballet tickets. Thankfully Casey took Meg since Alyx had just been released from the hospital that afternoon.
ETA: The ticket was one of her christmas gifts.
A&A'smommy replied: UMMM WHAT??!!!??! thats crazy!!!
A&A'smommy replied: 8 hour concert ?? What concert was that?? If you don't mind me asking
luvmykids replied: $60 a ticket? WTH? How do they expect people with kids to fork over that kind of money? For our family to go it would equal a month of health insurance!
PrairieMom replied: I want your insurance! Its $600 to insure my family.
luvmykids replied: I should clarify...that just covers the kids DH and I are without at the moment
MomToJade&Jordan replied: Wow that is ridiculus. I'm going to take Jade to see Cats in dec and those are only $43 dollars a ticket.
MoonMama replied: WTH?!?!?
Anthony275 replied: http://www.thelovesociety.com/ scroll down to robert plant
skinkybaby replied: We took Grace to see Sesame Street Live and our tickets were 20 bucks a pop. $60 is outrageous!
MommyToAshley replied: Same here... we took Ashley when she was around 3 years old and it was about $20/ticket.
lovemy2 replied: Have to say I have paid it (actually I am not sure if was $60 but I know it wasn't cheap) but to be honest - the look on my daughter's face when Elmo came running out on the stage - PRICELESS
