Are you expecting Moms craving anything?
MommyToAshley wrote: I always heard of people having weird cravings, but I never really craved anything weird. In the beginning, I wanted anything with tomatoes in it...tomatoe soup or spaghetti especially. Then, I would get cravings for Wendy's chocolate frosties-- I am not sure those were really cravings, it just sounded good.
There was one time when I did CRAVE cheetos towards the end of my pregnancy.
TLCDad replied: LOL! No doubt there. I thought she was going to divorce me until I found them. LOL she thought I was hiding them or someting Woke me out of bed for me to find em
CantWait replied: no real cravings here. I like to eat vegetables a lot more, especially salad. And I like meat dinners.
There are a lot of things that I don't like or can't eat anymore. I couldn't stand chicken at the beginning, it made me so nauseated, now it's not so bad, I can eat most chicken.
I don't really like chocolate anymore, doesn't taste the same
And my fav. Chips, everytime I eat them I get really gassy. hmmmmm too much information you think.
supermom replied: Hmmmmm......this time it's anything fresh - fruit, salad, veggies - and not so much meat (this is a good thing, being a bit on the heavy side) but my doctor is "on my case" not to push it and get some protein in me. I told him that it wouldn't be a problem, as now "we" are hungry all the time (but since I am getting 1/2 way thru, I can't eat much at a time!)......
I have never craved anything wierd, but the last time it was Arby's roast beef sandwiches ALL THE TIME - I think my DH thought he would NEVER get out of eating them for lunch
Glad it's at least something healthy with this one!!
MommyToAshley replied: I ate really healthy with my pregnancy too... lots of fruits and veggies. Not because I craved it, but because it was healthy. But, I always loved salads anyways. But, in my ninth month, I had already gained 70 lbs from the healthy stuff so I guess my body decided to crave some junk stuff -- CHEETOS. hahah. And the hubby was right, I turned into a different person. I REALLY wanted those cheetos and he was not going to get a bit of peace until he got me some! LOL
I'm like you though, in the first trimester I could not eat any meat...just the smell of it made me One time, DH was eating some Mexican and I got sick just off the smell.
supermom replied: Heck, of all things, coffee makes me sick still - and I used to drink 2-3 cups a day. So, now, I am not drinking any of it, some tea, and very little pop.
Let me tell you from experience, it's easier to get it off with baby 1 and 2 than it is with all the rest of them
But, after this one I have GOT to get it off - I am tired of being tired all the time, and I know that has something to do with it.
MommyToAshley replied:
Oh gosh, then I would really be in trouble with another baby if that's true. I still need to lose about 10-15 lbs, but it is all in my gut. I hate it, I can't stand it! I have always been the type of person that I could eat whatever I want and I never gained a pound. Now, I think I am paying for it. I am sooo glad it is gettting to be nice weather now and we can get outside and move around!
CantWait replied: I hear you. I'm 5'8" and at 18 just before I had my first I was 120 lbs, I lost everything plus when I had my son, and then gained liked a bunch. I ended weighing 150 or so lbs after that for awhile. I've always been a big gym buff and was even a fittness trainer, but I could never shed the weight. My tummy still has a bit of a "cum belly" as my dh would say. I'm hoping I'll be able to lose it all this time around.
MommyToAshley replied: You sound almost like me...I was 5'7" and 125-130 lbs. I got up to 200 lbs with Ashley!! And, I had lost 5 lbs in the beginning of my pregnancy because I was so sick from morning/day/night sickness. Now, I am hanging out around 145lbs...grrr. I jsut feel so miserable with this weight, but now that it is nice, I am looking forward to getting outside and excercising. I had thought about joining a gym, but there's just no time with Ashley and work! However, Ashley and I do exercise together... she sits on my legs and I do crunches. She loves it! haha
Kaitlin'smom replied: I did not have any weird craving, just always wanted milk, the last couple of months I was going through a galon of milk ever 2-3days! Thank goodness for all the sales on milk!
Hang in there Dee Dee, you will lose it sooner or later....I still have about 8-10lbs left. I think I had gained about 45lbs with her. The most frustrating this is just like you say its all or most of it in my gut. I had just lost 20lbs and was working on more when I found out I was pregnant. So I was jsut getting confortable again with my body and now the work begins again.....
KatieLeigh79 replied: -Cheetos -Arbys -Anything Milk, shakes, ice cream etc -The past few weeks anything chocolate as well though the first 6 months the smell alone made me sick
TLCDad replied: I just know I will never cook spicy things around anyone pregnant again. Of course the microwave dinner I made that the smell made Dee Dee sick actually tasted awfull anyhow
supermom replied: That's OK, TLCDad, next pregnancy it'll be something different that makes her
madaise replied: I had a pica craving... Ice. I had to have it all the time. And I mean ALL the time. On the up side, I got my daily recommended amount of water, lol. It was the only constant craving I had all 4 of my pregnancies.
CantWait replied: I work in a restaraunt, and the first few months...walking in there first thing in the morning with all the prep work that was being done, and the different smells was the most disgusting thing ever.
MommyToAshley replied: At least that is good to know!!! HAHA!
supermom replied: Arbys - I had to show this post to my DH because last pregnancy that was my downfall, Arbys!! He got so sick of eating there we didn't eat there again for MONTHS after we had Anders.
MommyToAshley replied: LOL -- well, let me know when you start getting the craving again and I will go buy Arby's stock. haha.
