Are you going to find out if you need blue or pink

MommyToAshley wrote: or are you going to be one to be surprised?

I wanted to know ahead of time, and they were right! Which is a good thing because I bought a lot of pink! wink.gif

CantWait replied: My hubby really wanted to know this time. Since he wanted to know we decided that we would find out together as it would kill me not knowing when he did.

So we found out it's a boy (Anthony Christian). We've bought a lot of clothing that's blue and has little sports balls on it.

I know how often ultrasounds can be wrong. I can't help but think it's not really a boy. I keep seeing baby girls everywhere. wink.gif

MommyToAshley replied: They told us at the first ultra sound that it was a girl -- 85% chance accuracy. We had a few more ultra sounds, and they all said it was a girl. But, I kept thinking it was going to be wrong because I had bought all this pink! At the last ultra sound (36 weeks) the ultra sound tech said -- go buy more pink, definitely a girl and she's not shy. haha. ANd, they were right!

Kaitlin'smom replied: we both wanted to know, so I asked the tech and she showed me on the ultrsound. I could see it, but my hubby did not, so he was worried it would be a boy. I said no way I saw it, its a girl. And the tech and I were right! smile.gif

madaise replied: I found out with all of ours, except Jordan.. and after that, I decided I'd rather know. We'll find out again if we get pregnant again too. smile.gif I like knowing ahead of time best.

KatieLeigh79 replied: ..as much as i wanted to know he/she had its legs crossed at the 5 month ultrasound - the only way now to find out is to have another unneeded one done that insurance wouldn't cover so i guess we wait it out - though i did buy all blue so am hoping that my instinct is right tongue.gif

MommyToAshley replied: You have a shy one, eh? smile.gif I hope you are right... which Mom's instincts usually are.

But, the good thing is, that if there is a slight chance you are wrong, girls can get away with wearing blue easier than boys can get away with wearing pink. biggrin.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: tee hee true, girls are more acepted wearing blue than a boy in pink!

KatieLeigh79 replied: .. but after how many months if this is a girl do i get away with putting her in Detriot Red Wings outfits and race cars wink.gif? ...

MommyToAshley replied: LOL! rolling_smile.gif

CantWait replied:

awwwwwwwwww ohmy.gif don't say that. I just finished saying I thought it was a girl, even though the ultrasound said boy. LOL

KatieLeigh79 replied: *laugh* www.avalys.com we have a link for baby news and the 1 decent ultrasound picture i was given, they were rude with them , she wouldnt give me any others or one with both hands open and full screen like i had asked - grandma says it looks like DH (the tummy sticks out, the upper lip sticks out slightly and hes "hunched".. i love my grandma wink.gif ...

supermom replied: We didn't want to know with any of them, but with the first, it was SO obvious on the U/S that the tech didn't even have to point out what I was seeing - laugh.gif - but with the rest we wanted it to be a suprise. I was pretty sure Anders was a boy, because I had high BP and they did a lot of non-stress and because his heartbeat was so fast, I was pretty sure, but not positive.

But we were still suprised and thrilled when they were all born, it's a great feeling!!

casmi replied: No, we won't find out. We LOVE SURPRISES!

DD#1 - we didn't find out but I thought she'd be a girl

DS - didn't find out, but thought he was going to be a girl

DD#2 - did find out, after losing our son I wanted to feel as cnnected as possible to her in utero

DD#3 - didn't find out - thought she was a boy. biggrin.gif

MommyToAshley replied: From your signature.... I really like that. What a nice tribute angel.gif

msjennbug replied: We're not finding out this time around. We did with the other five. But I always said after we had a boy we wouldn't need to find out anymore. I actually stuck to it. smile.gif Dh kinda wanted to know, but he didn't go to the u/s!

I went in with a prayer that if we should know the tech would ask me if I wanted to know and I would not ask.

He didn't offer, I didn't ask and I actually left w/o knowing the sex of the baby for the first time in my life! smile.gif

Can't wait until July now when we get to meet this little person growing inside me!

+Zemirah+ replied: We won't find out either...

Ds 1, I knew he was a boy -- we did have US later and it showed it
same with DS 2

DS 3, I THOUGHT he was a girl because the pregnancy was really different, and he wouldn't show with the ultrasound lol... so we were surprised.

DD I THOUGHT was a BOY rolleyes.gif because the pregnancy was JUST like my first two, and no ultrasound, so... we were shocked!

DS's 4 & 5 we just decided we like surprises, and we don't "do" ultrasound anymore unless medically indicated, so... now we wait smile.gif

MommyToAshley replied: I think it would be fun to be surprised... I just don't have the patience. LOL I was bad as a kid at Christmas too... I would always sneak a peek at the presents under the tree and then wrap em back up.

CantWait replied: msjennbug, when in July are you due? I'm due July 15th. biggrin.gif

dolfinrse replied: I wanted to know, but dh didn't. At the 5 month u/s the tech couldn't tell because the baby was spinning. I ended up having kidney stones during the pregnancy, so they had to do an u/s on my kidneys. While the tech was doing it I asked if she could check for the sex and she said boy. We have had three more since then, and one doctor said it looked like a girl, but then the next time said boy. While another dr. said boy just 2 weeks ago, when I was 37 weeks pregnant.

MommyToAshley replied: It sounds like you can think blue, but not count on it. LOL

mustangmomma1981 replied: Hubby dear doesn't want to know happy.gif But I want to know if the baby isn't shy tongue.gif I found out with Kaitlynn smile.gif

msjennbug replied: cantwait,

I'm due july 4. smile.gif not too long now.

Btw, everyone... I'm soooo regretting not asking the u/s tech what the baby is.... it's driving me crazy now, not knowing!!!!

oh well, only a few more weeks, right????

Jenn

sara294 replied: With my dd I asked the sex during an US at the ER.With ds I never had an US and wanted to be suprised.
