Ashley had her frist sleep over at Mamals house
MommyToAshley wrote: As some of you may know, Ashley stayed with MIL yesterday while DH and I went to a big lan-fest. When DH and I called to check on her, she was already asleep so we ended up staying until 5 am. We didn't want to wake her up, so we went home and went to bed and picked her up this afternoon. So, she had her first official sleep over at Mamals house. Ashley survived, and surprisingly so did I!
When we dropped her off, she gave us hug, waved good-bye and made a dash for her toy room there. MIL said she did great. She said Ashley didn't want to go to sleep though (what a surprise) and tried all her tactics -- talking about the events of the day, singing, trying to make Mamal laugh. She said that when Ashley finally got tired and was about to fall asleep, Ashley did ask for Mommy and then said, "Ashley go home in Mommy's car.... sleep in Ashley's bed" ---- Aweeeee! She said that Ashley didn't cry, she slept the entire night, but she did call out for me when she woke up at 9am this morning. But, was fine as soon as Mamal picked her up.
I did get the hug of a lifetime when we picked her up though.
She says she is ready to go back and play with Mamal. LOL!
jdkjd replied: I'm glad both of you survived. I knew you both would have a good time.
Maybe since it went so well, she'll be able to go over to Mamal's more often. I'm sure Mommy and Daddy could use a couple date nights.

Kylie likes staying with my mom, but she you have to force her there, lol. Once she's there she has an awesome time, but she doesn't beg to stay with my parents.
My2Beauties replied: We occasionally let Hanna stay with grandparents! It gives us a night out and gets her used to staying with other people! She did stay with my mom that whole week we went to Vegas, that was hard on me! Now she is staying a week with my dad and it's even harder because I'm home and I can see her little toys and her little empty crib at me.......argh this is killing me, I can't wait to go see on Friday!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: It is great having an occasional night away. She is so sweet and so funny. I'm glad that you all survived!
kit_kats_mom replied: I'm glad you had fun and Ashley did well. I know how odd it is to not have them around when you are so used to it.
