Ashley really embarrassed me.... - Karen I think she may have Kylie beat

MommyToAshley wrote: Ashley went to Cubbies Club (Awanas) last night at Church. At the end of class, they sang "Jesus Loves Me". Then the teacher went around the room and asked what everyone's favorite song was. One little girl said "ABC's", so they sang it. Another little girl said "If You are Happy and You Know It", and so they sang that. Then they came to Ashley and I was sure she would say the Barney song. But, she said, "Satisfaction". The teacher looked confused and asked how that song goes, and Ashley started to sing "I can't get no Sat-is-faction...." blush.gif blush.gif blush.gif OMG! I about died!!! She had heard that song and liked the beat and picked up the words immediately. She has no clue to the meaning, but now I am going to have to turn off the radio. blush.gif blush.gif blush.gif

Not to hijack your post, but it reminds me of when Alec told his grandmother that we watched naked ladies one day. In fact, we were listening to my Bare Naked Ladies CD. blush.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: laugh.gif I am sorry but that is to funny, I would have loved to seen the teachers face, I bet ashley was adorable singing that song rolling_smile.gif

booey2 replied: She is too cute, it must be a 3 year old thing because when Matthew was 3 he heard the song, Highway to Hell one weekend as we were driving on the highway to grandma's house and when he got there he was still singing.."I am on a highway to hell." blush.gif

coasterqueen replied: OMG Dee Dee! ohmy.gif laugh.gif It's funny and cute, but I know it must have been embarassing! That's definitely up there. laugh.gif rolleyes.gif I can just imagine the look on your face since I've been there. Oh boy. tongue.gif

Sounds like our girls are getting too smart for their britches. The other night I was listening to the song "Don't cha" by the Pussycat Dolls. Kylie was listening to it and started dancing and she was repeating the words. For a split second I thought it was very cute and DH came in to the room and just looked at me like "TURN THE DARN THING OFF, aren't you listening to her?". rolling_smile.gif blush.gif So no more adult music for me....kids songs all the way. rolleyes.gif

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: How cute, but isn't that what children are for to embarrass us??? rolling_smile.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: laugh.gif Dee Dee that is SO funny!!! Kids are forevermore embarassing their parents. Just remind her of this when she is in high school and says she embarasses you. rolling_smile.gif

MissyKay2005 replied: OMG!!! I am rolling that is so funny!!!! rolling_smile.gif

jcc64 replied: Compared with what my 13 yr old listens to, "Satisfaction" seems downright quaint.
Too funny, Dee Dee.

mckayleesmom replied: Mckaylees favorite song is Psycho Killer...by The Talking Heads.......WHenever we get in the car she starts going "fa fa fa fa" cause she wants to listen to it. That or Moon Shadow

mammag replied: Oh my!!! rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif That is the funniest!!!

moxee24 replied: rolling_smile.gif That is SO funny!!! But like they say "From the mouth of Babes" biggrin.gif

punkeemunkee'smom replied: rolling_smile.gif emlaugh.gif rolling_smile.gif ROFLMBO!!!!! rolling_smile.gif emlaugh.gif Thank you for making me laugh out loud!!! Btw don't feel bad Taylor hears a song once and can sing most of the words-I try to keep it on country, thought that may curb some of the contents...so far we have gone through an "I love this bar" by Toby Keith phase and currently she likes to sing "ALCOHOL" by Brad Paisley or "Play something country" by Brooks and Dunn, Don't know if you have heard it but it has this great HOWL in the chorus!!! rolling_smile.gif blush.gif I can't help but laugh! rolling_smile.gif We won't even get into what she sings if I flip the station to another channel! rolling_smile.gif

My2Boyz replied: Thanks for the laugh, I need it this time of day. Now I have the song stuck in my head.
