Asking for prayers

5littleladies wrote: Thursday morning I'm going in for a CAT scan. I've been having pain in my upper right chest for a couple of months and my doctor has decided that it is time to figure out where it is coming from. I'm very nervous and a little scared and am trying to not fear the worst. DH is very calm and confident that everything will be ok but I have a tendency to worry alot. Please pray for me and my family. It would be greatly appreciated!

~CrazieMama~ replied: Oh my!!!! I know exactly how you feel. I have been having pain in my chest for the past 2 years, and still the doctors have no idea what it is. I will keep you in my prayers.

MommyToAshley replied: You are in my thoughts and prayers. I am sure everything will be ok, but an extra prayer never hurts!

<<HUGS>> Be sure to let us know how it goes!

DansMom replied:
I hope it's nothing serious! Sometimes chest pain is stress-related. Let us know how it goes, and we'll keep you in our prayers. grouphug.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: I agree that sometimes pain is stress related. When I was with my Ex (bad relationship, lots of stress) I had such pain in my chest that sometimes I couldn't breathe without crying it hurt so much. And of course, crying hurt even more.... I couldn't sneeze, laugh, take a deep breath...

My doctor *diagnosed* it as being my inter-costal (sp?) muscles. Something about them being inflated due to tension...and prescribed NapoAproxin (sp), which is a not-so-mild muscle relaxant.

It felt like someone was putting a nail in my chest....and it got WAY worse when I was pregnant.

Mommieto2Girls replied: You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope everything goes well, keep us posted if you can.<<<hugs>>>

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Sending prayers and positive thoughts your way! I would tell you not to worry, but I know I would be worrying, too. Everything will be okay!

If the Dr. can't pin down what is going on... Oprah did a segment a couple of years ago about PRE-menopause causing chest/heart pain. You might check her website to see if the information is still there. It was a while back so I don't know if it is still there, but it is worth a shot.

Hang in there!

MomofTay&Sam replied: My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am sending tons of prayers upstairs for you. God Bless

TLCDad replied: You are in our thoughts and prayers. I am sure everyone will be fine.

Stress can cause pain almost everywhere. Mainly with me its tension headaches but I have had pain in my chest before which is scary.
