I love B&J because they are extremely socially and ecologically responsible. They are one of the most earth-friendly businesses out there, and I try to support those kinds of companies when I can.
Plus - their ice cream is sooooooooo good 
My favorite is chubby hubby, but they keep taking it off the shelves

Really agree with Amy about B&J's corporate structure. Apparently, the highest paid people in the company, ostensibly the CEO's, cannot make more than a certain, relatively modest percentage over what the lowest employees make. They take care of their employees, as well as the community beyond. If the rest of corporate America operated like they do, alot of us would be much better off.
Wasn't aware of the cop thing- will check out your link, Lisa, but I am assuming this is the Mumia case in Philly?

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I get a little too overwhelmed trying to decide which to buy from B&J since they have so many ingredients in them...so I typically go for Haagan Dazz (sp?) instead. I'm a huge fan of anything with chocolate and peanut butter...or just chocolate with almonds!!
