Baby shoes

ctymom wrote: My poor little girl has her daddy's feet! They are like little blocks lol Cute but tough as heck to get shoes to fit her right.

Does anyone here have this problem and can offer some suggestions? I really dont want to buy $25+ shoes for a baby that will outgrow them in a month!

kimberley replied: Jacob had the same problem. we had to buy him stride rites. they were the only one's that fit him properly and didn't hurt his feet. i think they have outlets. you should check if there is one in your area. spending the money does suck but it is better than your kid having foot problems when they get older. it is so important for them to be in proper shoes. sorry if i am not much help.

ctymom replied: oh yeah.. you're right! It's important to get good shoes. It's better to have them walk around without shoes as long as possible but outside of course she needs something. Especially with cold weather on it's way.

Thanks for letting me know about the stride rites. I'll have a look around. You were helpful smile.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Ashley has wide feet, and I have to watch what kind of shoes I buy her, especially dress shoes. I've only found a couple of stores that make wide toddler shoes and Ashley wouldn't wear shoes as a baby so I stopped buying then until she got older. smile.gif

I think Kohl's sells wide shoes, you might want to try there.

coasterqueen replied: I also liked Robeez shoes. Kylie could wear them for awhile before growing out of them. I wish I would have let her wear them longer, they were so cute. I can't wait to put them on this baby's feet. wub.gif

stormyanne replied: my DS has huge, wide feet also. we've found shoes that fit him comfortably at target, believe it or not! usually about $10, maybe a few more. you could take a look there.

Kaitlin'smom replied: ALso if its wide feet payless sells kids shoes in wide thumb.gif thats where I get my shoes and have gotten a few for Kaitlin, infact I need to get her new shoes

My2Beauties replied: K-Mart does too, Hanna has chubby feet and I had to buy size 3 wide the other day for her, $6 a pair! thumb.gif

5littleladies replied: My kids have not only wide feet, but fat feet. The tops of their feet are kind of "fluffy" and don't fit well into shoes. We just keep looking until we find a pair that fits. wacko.gif

DansMom replied: The Robeez and Bobux slipper shoes are expensive, but if you check on e-bay you can usually get them a bit cheaper. For more heavy duty walkers, Stride Rite is definitely a good brand. Good luck! Daniel's got weirdly skinny, long feet.

amynicole21 replied: Got to agree with Robeez or Bobux. These are really free form shoes that will fit her foot no matter what. Of course, they aren't great in the snow, but for running around in the fall they would be perfect. Take a look on ebay for some deals or go to http://www.robeez.com

Kirstenmumof3 replied: With me we are completely opposite, Claudia feet are so tiny (only in a size 4) that we often have a hard time finding her size and end up getting size 5's which are too big. She also has narrow feet (she didn't get that from me laugh.gif ) and I find that shoes are always too big on her. thumb.gif

ctymom replied:
yeah, that's the main problem. The tops of her feet dont fit well. I took out to the mall the other day and tried shoes on her and found nothing. And she was getting really mad and frustrated b/c she wanted each pair of shoes. She loves her shoes. lol

I'll have a look around at all the suggestions! Thanks for the help!
