Baby shower game?
MoonMama wrote: I need ideas for baby shower games. We (another friend and I) are throwing a baby shower for a friend who just moved back to town whose due monday and hasn't had one yet. So this is kind of a tossed together shower. Help I need ideas for game and prizes too. TIA
mckayleesmom replied: *Take the lables off baby food jars and number them.....make the guest guess what they are by the looks......
*Give everyone a clothes pin when they get there and make a KEYWORD...such as baby.....They all have to try not to say that word...if they do...You take away their clothes pin and the last person with one gets a prize.
* I know this is not a game, but I bought some colored notecards in pastels and had the guests each write a piece of advice for the new mom.
* I always like the unscramble the baby terms games....
MoonMama replied: Those are great thank you so much.
CantWait replied: Toilet paper game. Give everyone a roll of toilet paper, they have to tear off as much as they think mommy's pregnant tummy is. When everyone finishes, mommy measures with the tp. Whoever is closer wins.
PrairieMom replied: chocolate always works as a prize!

Thanks moms these ideas are great.
I went out to walmart last night and bought some stuff to use as prizes, so far I have,
Some different lotions, and bath stuf,f Candles and holders, some really cute picture frames, and this cute white and reg. chocolate gift set I may or may not use depending on what you all think. If I don't use it as a prize I'll just open it for everyone to share.
Do I need to have a gift of some kind for everyone? If so what kind of stuff? I was thinking I'd make home made mints and put em in cute bags?
Jolyn replied: One of the best games i have done at a shower is the Famous Mother Game.
On sticky name tags you write the name of a famous mother...past or present and when your guests walk in you stick one on their back. The guests have to walk around and ask the other guests YES OR NO questions regarding who they could be. The first one to guess who they are wins the prize.
I have a list of famous moms if you want them.
Jolyn replied: Those are great prizes. I always like to have something for everyone to take home with them. The bags with mints sound wonderful.
You have really put alot of thought into this party. That's very nice of you!
MoonMama replied: I would love the list of famous mom's that sounds like such a fun game!
MoonMama replied: Thank you.
Jolyn replied: Ok this is a long one....
Wilma Flintstone Betty Rubble Carol Brady (The Brady Bunch) Mother Teresa Mother Goose Sharon Osborne Old Woman who lives in a shoe Cher Old Mother Hubbord Mary....Mother of Jesus June Cleaver Marge Simpson Rosanne Marion Cunningham (Happy Days) Peg Bundy (Married with Children) Jane Jetson Joan Crawford...(Mommy Dearest) Princess Diana Claire Huxtable (Cosby Show) Deborah Ramano (Everybody Loves Raymond) Mother Nature Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Britanny Spears Elyse Keaton (Family Ties) Madonna Jill Taylor (Home Improvement) The Queen Mum (Elizabeth) Marie Barrone (Everybody loves Raymond) Louis Wilkerson (Malcolm in the Middle) Lucille Ball...but she is easy to guess...:0)
If you have more guests just think of some other moms.
Hope this helps. :0)
MoonMama replied: Thank you so so much! I could only think of like 5.
redplaydoh replied: We did something that was a big hit. It takes a little preparation though but it's quite easy.
Take clear plastic baby bottles and fill with sugar about 3/4 full (looks like milk).
Get those small plastic baby related decorations. (Safety pins, pacifiers, bottles, booties, etc.) and put them in the bottle. List items placed in the bottles.
Shake so it mixes in with the sugar.
Give to the guests and the first one that finds all the items by turning it and looking through the bottle (without opening it) wins. Don't give them the list, make them list it out so there is no cheating.
It's like a seek and find game.
MoonMama replied: Love that idea thanks.
