Baby theme

Halo42101 wrote: I have been trying to get ideas from everyone on what their baby theme was. I love the Care Bears, Sesame Street & Precious Moments. I also love teddy bears. It's going to be hard to choose when we are expecting and I'd really like a different theme. Any ideas?

mummy2girls replied: winnie the pooh

Halo42101 replied: Awww, sweet! Thanks, Shelly. I think Winnie The Pooh is the most popular for baby themes but I like him too.

1lilpeanut2love replied: Kaylee's nursery theme was and still is hello kitty. So much pink and it's all SO cute. If we had a boy his theme was going to be Bob the Builder.

Have fun choosing! hug.gif

Ashlynn's Mommy replied: Ashlynn's nursery theme is butterfly's, and flowers. It's really pretty.

Halo42101 replied: I like Hello Kitty too. And we actually thought about doing a nature theme before. Hmmm...

luvmykids replied: I didn't really have themes, more a combo of colors/things I liked. Kylies ended up being lavendar and a pale green with fairies, hearts, butterflies, anything girly I found in those colors. Macie didn't have her own room until recently but it's still based more on color, reds and yellows. Lots of hearts, flowers, dragonflies, whimsical stuff.

Colt as a baby was kind of caramel and blue and green, lots of cute bugs. Now, of course, everything is cowboy stuff, denim, bandanas, and vintage cowboy pics.

ashtonsmama replied: We have to still do Savannah's room obviously, but Ashton's is kind of ocean-themed, lots of blues and greens...
It's cute!

PrairieMom replied: I really wanted to have a tinkerbell nursery, but I was having a really hard time finding stuff. If you sew you can make your own bedding and i think it could be super cute. Right now mine is pink with flowers, and Benjamin's was pastel bugs.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Logan's room theme was cartoon bugs. I didn't want to do the typical little boy things like cars, trains, planes, sports. But I loved that one. I can post a few pics if you like.

J-rod replied:
same here.

with some blue.

AlexsPajamaMama replied: baby.gif Baby Looney Tunes

boyohboyohboy replied: my first son was whinnie the pooh and then when he was three we changed it to "transportation"
and my youngest is Huggy Buggys!
its so cute these over stuffed vehicles in cute colors.

moped replied: We have a safari theme going on.....border is giraffe's lions and stuff. I am going to switch it to Thomas when he goes to a big bed

MyLuvBugs replied: Ours is moons and stars (pink, blue, yellow and green pastels). wub.gif

If we ever have a boy, we like the idea of having a car theme or planes/trains and automobiles theme with Red and different shades of blue for colors. smile.gif

My best friends room is a sports theme for her soon to be new little boy. smile.gif

KingMom replied: For Colin, we didn't know what the sex of the baby was. So...we painted the room yellow, had all white furniture, and the theme was from Pottery Barn Kids, Velour Animals. The bedding/items were yellow/ white and had lions, tigers, elephants, etc.

We had other accents in the room though, the lamp shade was green gingham print.

Check out ebay for different sets, you can get them much less than in the store.

We just finished the nursery for my current baby (on the way, due Aug4). We went again with a pottery barn pattern, called Alyssa. it's white and pink, has a floral patchwork type design. We used the pink gingham lampshade, and since the sheet had butterflies on it, we got a mobile that had butterflies.

As soon as I get things out of the nursery (currently has some items being stored, waiting to go into our new home addition) I'll share some pics of both rooms since we left the Animals up in Colin's room when we moved him into the toddler bed last week.

I wanted to do Miles's room in jungle but I was poor when I had him (wait still am) and someone gave me a cowboy comforter so I went with it. Now I really like it. Its all denim and red bandana patterns. My old rocking horse is in there, and a cowboy hat & some other stuff.

Halo42101 replied: Thanks for all your posts! I enjoyed seeing what you planned for your baby's room. Kelly, I would love to see a picture of Logan's room if you can post one and anyone else who can post one also. hug.gif

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Here you go, Jessi. Logan's bug room

My brother came to visit and did all the painted critters on the walls. They are based on and look exactly like the ones on the baby quilt. It is the same light blue as the top of the walls. The bottom is a darker blue.

Halo42101 replied: Oh, my gosh! I love the rooms you have for your babies, Kelly & Holley. Thank you so much for sharing. Kelly, you were very creative with that peg hanger. I love the bugs in Logan's room. When I looked up baby themese online, I saw Sweet As A Daisy too & fell in love with it, Holley. It is a beautiful set. I love them both! hug.gif

PrairieMom replied: I don't have a picture of the Boy's room, but here is his bedding. The walls were just painted light yellow, and I had bug decals that match the sheets on the walls.

jaytrevjax replied: My sons' room WAS Buzz lightyear. The walls are yellow and blue with planets stenceled on and those glow in the dark stars on thier ceiling. We did have Buzz lightyear decals on the wall, but, being boys, they didn't last long! rolling_smile.gif
