Baby's Gender - Was the U/S ever wrong?
pinniy wrote: I'm just curious, how man people "found out" what the gender of their baby/babies was/were, and what they were told was WRONG. I mean, did you not find out the correct gender until birth, or did you have another U/S? If it wasn't 'til birth, what did you do (clothes, etc)? ...what about the name?
moped replied: Not sure - I was told I was having a boy and that is what I got.........good questions though!
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Matt was a girl from 18 to 36 weeks and about 10 U/S by 4 different people and 3 different machines. We found out a couple weeks before he was born. We hadn't bought any clothes since it was our second girl in 15 months but did go out and buy a bunch of boy stuff immediately following the U/S
luvmykids replied: Mine were all correct, but just in case the first time around we only bought a few neutral clothes and had alternate names just in case.
CosmetologyMommy replied: my coworker was told she was having a girl and it was a boy! Good thinkg she kept the receipt on her little dresses!
5littleladies replied: I've found out 2 times (girls) and it's been right 2 times. Luckily I've always had girls so we've never had the need to buy much in advance. If I'm ever told I'm having a boy I will probably be too cautious to buy much before the birth.
Kaitlin'smom replied: I was 'shown' it was a girl, by the tech 2 times and she was right. I also knew from the moment I found out it would be a girl. Her room was already nutural and some clothes were so if it had turned out we were wrong well then it would hvae just been the name we woudl have had to re-think.
C&K*s Mommie replied: Christian was a girl from the 16week appointment that we found out until after her birth when I had to confirm it with my DH. "Is it a girl?" I weakly asked. Kelllie we never found out. It was all a surprise, and we wanted it like that.
We really did not buy much for Kellie, we knew we would have hand-me downs from Christian if necessary, but we were prepared with the basics of white onesies, and other basics in case she was a boy.
Christian, we would not have been prepared if she were a boy. Financially, we did not have the funds to go get more clothes, but mostly because she was born in Nov, and a simple onesie like with Kellie would not cut it. So we lucked up.
We had the two sex names picked out for both births, just in case.
TeagansMom609 replied: Both times the U/S tech was right on what the sex was. I always bought clothes and NEVER saved the receipts. Im such a rebel.
ilovemybaby replied: I heard about someone who was told they were having a girl so they had bought all girly clothing - pink and lacy etc... and then they ended up having a boy! That would be very hard. If you were told boy and had a girl it wouldn't be as bad. IMO A girl can wear blue but pink on a boy just isn't right.
Cece00 replied: I've had 3 kids & all my u/s were right. I even called the sex with my daughter before the tech did last time Good thing they werent ever wrong b/c I always took the receipts off of everything I bought so I wouldve been kinda screwed if I had a boy when they said girl.
Edward's Mommy replied: We didn't want to know. But at the end, I thought I saw something, and I did and I got a boy.
